I hope you having a great weekend. It’s a gorgeous day in Queensland today!!
We are casing a sketch this week from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. It’s on page 72.
Here’s our version of the sketch.
I had a look through my stamp sets for a large image to go on the left and decided on the large flower from the Good Morning Magnolia set. I used the Peony Garden DSP on the background. I stamped the image in Basic Gray for a softer touch and then coloured with Petal Pink and Old Olive blends.
It’s been at least a week since I used my favourite dies, the Stitched So Sweetly dies, so I used them for my sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia set.
Next up is the lovely Michelle. You are going to love her creation this week!!
We would love to see your creation using this sketch, so please share on our Facebook group.
Welcome to a fun week at Caseing the Catty. This week, we are casing a layout from page 151.
So there are five projects on this page to choose from. I went with the card on the top right with the horse on it.
This is such a versatile layout. I’m on a Bird Ballad DSP roll at the moment and so I went with one piece on the left and then stamped the flowers and leaves on the right. I added a piece of linen ribbon and tied a bow with the Mossy Meadow linen thread which are both from the Magnolia Lane ribbon combo pack.
I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party and punched it out using the Story Label punch.
I was on a roll with this layout so I made another one with the Magnolia Lane DSP and the Magnolia Blooms stamp set from the Experience Creativity brochure. I used the Timeless Label punch for this one.
Next up is the lovely Judy. I can’t wait to see her stunning creation.
Come and share your creation with us over on at our Facebook group.
I’ve been busy preparing for my next class and I decided it was time to have a play! I haven’t made a fancy fold card for a while so I had a quick browse of Addinktive Designs and went with an oldie but a goodie, the Z Fold box card.
I used the Well Written dies, Thanks as it went with the sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia. I also cut out a few leaves in Mossy Meadow. I was going to stamp and colour the flowers but then I realised that the flower die not only matches the stamp, it matches the DSP!! woo hoo!!
I then stamped the larger flower from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and fussy cut it out. I used a black marker and coloured the edges to match the other flowers.
