Welcome to the Eureka Stampers Retirement Blog Hop! You may be starting here with me, or have hopped around from the fabulous Mel.
One of my favourite tools to use (aside from the Big Shot) is the Colour Coach which is sadly retiring. I hope they bring out something similar. I find it really handy when I am looking for a new colour combo. For our hop today, I got out my trusty colour coach and had a look at the suggestions for Bermuda Bay (fav colour at the mo!!). I decided to go with Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango and Smoky Slate. The next step was to decide what stamp set to use. Fortunately, I have 47 stamp sets that are retiring so I had a few to choose from!! I decided I would feature stamps and their matching punches for my projects today.
For my first card, I used the Mosaic Madness stamp and the matching mosaic punch. I love this bundle and will be sad to see them go. I used Smoky Slate cardstock for my base and then the Brights DSP stack for the Bermuda Bay patterned paper. I carefully laid out the punched shapes and stuck them down with fast fuse. I added a piece of the silver satin ribbon (it looks very close to smoky slate) and used the Apothecary Accents framelits (which are retiring) and the Lots of Thanks stamp set.
Here’s a closer look.
For my second card, I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest by Card Creations by Beth.
I stuck with the same colour combo as before but used a different stamp/punch bundle – Label Love stamp set and Artisan label punch. I also used the Alphabet Press embossing folder (retiring) which is great for baby cards.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards today. Please leave me a comment!!

I’m excited to share with you that I am a part of the Design Team of a new challenge blog called CASE-ing the Catty. You can check it out, here.
Every Friday, we will be sharing projects which we have cased (Copy and Share Everything) from the latest Stampin’ Up! catalogue. We will be working our way through the different sections of the catalogue, starting with Gift and Packaging.
There are so many great projects to choose from! I decided to case the cute Tag a Bag Gift box on the top left hand corner of page 14 of the Aussie catalogue.
I love these boxes!! They are easy to assemble and all you need to do is add a few bits and pieces and you’re done!! I haven’t bought much Designer Series Paper from the new catalogue yet but the first one I did get was Gold Soiree. Every sheet features Metallic Gold Ink!! Bring on the bling!!!
And what goes with gold dsp but gold sequins!! A paper doily and gold sequins is a match in heaven. I also tied it with some whisper white cotton ribbon.
And of course, I had to stamp my greeting (from Label Love) in gold ink. You know, you can never have too much gold!!
Let me know what you think!! and make sure you join in with the Challenge.
Check out what the rest of the team has created, here.
Well the new catalogue has been out for a week now and it is full of lots of fabulous new stamp sets, designer series paper and new colours!!
I love the names of the new in colours, especially Crisp Cantaloupe. I wanted to show case the new in colours at my catalogue launch last weekend, so I did a bit of stalking on Pinterest!! I found this lovely card by Marisa Gunn, which also highlighted the Soho Subway DSP.
I was lucky enough to receive the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set at Convention in May, which is great for doing splotches that look even. I don’t know about you but sometimes random splotches just don’t work for me!! I also used the Label Love Stamp set which matches the new Artisan label punch. (Love matching punches!!)
Stamp Sets: Gorgeous Grunge, Label Love
Paper: Soho Subway DSP, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Summer Starfruit
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pacific Point, Summer Starfruit
Accessories: Corner punch, Artisan Label punch, White Baker’s Twine
I also wanted to share this card that I found on Pinterest here. It reminded me of the Cathedral Window quilt that my mum made years ago. This was a fun card to make. I punched 9 1 1/4″ circles and did a card board 1″ square punch which I used as a template for folding up the edges.
I used the new Smoky Slate ink for the sentiments which are from the Happy Day stamp set.
Stamp set: Happy Day
Paper: Soho Subway DSP, Crisp Cantaloupe
Ink: Smoky Slate
Accessories: 1 1/4″ circle punch, 1″ square punch.
