Happy New Year!! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a fun (but safe) New Year. I had such a rage, my husband went fishing with a mate and I worked on a new diamond painting and watch Soul on Disney+. Yes, I know, I’m a party animal!!
Our first challenge for 2021 is to case a card from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and step it up.
I didn’t get very far into the catalogue and found my card on page 5.
I decided to use the Jar of Flowers stamp set for my cards. I still used a piece of vellum behind the flowers and I stamped the jar and the flowers directly onto the card. I coloured them using water colour pencils and blender pens. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.
For the second card, I punched out the jar and added a Mason Jar Shaker dome. I fussy cut the flowers and coloured them in using blends and added some Wink of Stella over the top. The sentiment was die cut using the Rectangle dies and I added a bow in Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon. And I nearly forgot, I embossed the background using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.
Next up is the lovely Tina.
We would love to see your creation where you step up an Annual Catalogue project so please share over on at our Facebook group.
Welcome to another fun week of Caseing the Catty!! The weather has been getting warmer which is nice although we are having the August winds happening as well.
We are casing the punch bundles on page 168 – 169 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These pages are extra projects showing off all the punch bundles.
I decided to case the card on page 168 which features the Rectangular Postage stamp punch. Now I don’t have this punch yet although I do like it. I had a flip through the World of Good Memories and More card pack and was inspired by one of the gold foil card sized pieces featuring the globe, mimicking the look of the postage stamps.
I then mounted it onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and added one of the banner stickers from the card pack. I stamped a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set in Misty Moonlight.
The Memories and More card packs are great for making quick cards. They include 50 double sided cards, in 3″ x 4″ and 4″x 6″ sizes and 4 sticker sheets. You can also get a pack of Memories & More cards and envelopes which perfectly fit the card pack.
I’m needing more masculine cards so this pack of Memories & More cards is perfect for that!
Next up is my lovely friend, Tina from South Australia.
We would love to see your cards casing the punch bundles of the Annual Catalogue.
I’ve had a fun weekend out at Stanthorpe as my youngest niece is turning 18. We had a family weekend of celebrations! I made her a chocolate raspberrry layered cake. It was delicious! And happy birthday my sweet girl!!
We have a fun case this week!! We are casing the animals of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.
There are lots of cute animals cards in the catalogue this year!! It was hard to choose but I ended up going with a combination of the cards on page 54.
I decided to mainly case the card at the top but I also took the idea of creating your own background from the bottom one.
Firstly, I had to check what animal stamp sets I had. Of course, you don’t have to use an animal set but I thought I would. I only have the Free as a Bird set in my current stock (I do have a couple of keepers from ones that have retired). I was going to use an oval to cut out the middle but I went with the Stitched Nested labels dies instead. I stamped the background which is Just Jade cardstock with the leaves from the Free as a Bird set.
I stamped the birds in Memento Black and then coloured using mainly the new In-colour blends, Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight, Magenta Madness, Just Jade and then Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie. I even used the colour lifter to lighten up the tummies of the birds.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays set.
Next up is the lovely Sandra in New Zealand.
