We are back with another gorgeous colour challenge for you this week.

Aren’t those boots amazing!  I want some in that colour!!  This week’s colours are Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Night of Navy.

When I get ready to create my colour projects, I always get out the card stock and look at it together and see what grabs me about it.  The Rich Razzleberry stood out for me with this one so I decided to make it the background piece.  Then I grabbed the Graceful Garden stamp set and decided to use the matching Garden Trellis embossing folder.

I love the new crinkled seam binding ribbon and I was excited that this challenge include Night of Navy so I could use my ribbon!!  I added the bow at the base of the flower so that it looks like it is tied around the bouquet.

Speaking of the flower, I embossed it in gold and fussy cut it out.  You know that’s my favourite thing, right!!  NOT!!!  Well, the embossing part is!

My sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  Such a handy stamp set especially when you only want a small sized greeting.  Now, how did I get that little banner?  Well I used the Classic label punch to punch out the sentiment, then went to the side of the punch and re-inserted the banner and punched out a small piece.  (ok, it’s a bit hard to describe, but it’s easy to do!!)

Next up is the talented Krissy Buck

CTC137 – Artistic Expression

I hope you have had a great weekend!!  I’ve been very productive! Got my garden done, housework, some crafting, shopping with my husband, church and now a spot of blogging.  Gee, I think I should have a rest!

This week, we are casing the Artistic Expression section, pages 132 – 181, of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

So many delicious cards to choose from!!  I decided to case the thanks card on page 164, which is the centre card on our image above.

I’ve kept the same colours theme, with a Crumb Cake base.  I’ve used Very Vanilla and stamped the Sheet Music stamp in memento black.  I then stamped the large flower stamp from the Graceful Garden stamp set on vellum and coloured it on the back using the watercolour pencils and used the blender pen to spread the colour.  I cut the word Hugs from the Lovely Words thinlits in Gold Foil and trimmed the circle off.

I used the new Black shimmer ribbon, which is to die for, and a piece of linen thread.  I attached the flower using glue dots where the ink was darkest.  I used the mini dimensionals to add some height to the sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed my card this week.  Make sure you leave me a comment and let me know. I can’t wait to see what you are going to create and share on our Facebook group this week.  Click here to join us.

Next up is the amazing Bronwyn.  I can’t wait for you to see what she has created!!

Thanks for hopping around this week.

CTC134 – For Babies and Kids

I had my stamp club yesterday and I’ve been practising my baking skills on my ladies!!  I made Cookies and Cream Oreo cupcakes and they looked and tasted great!

We are casing the For Babies and Kids section (pages 102-111) from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue this week.

Now I only have one of the stamps in this section as I don’t need any kid stamps.  Although I do own the Foxy set, I decided to case the pink communion card on page 111.

Instead of using a background stamp, I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder.  On the very vanilla piece in the middle, I stamped off three times using Crumb Cake ink and the background stamp from the Graceful Garden stamp set.  I did the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set in Rose Red.

I stamped my rose in Memento Black then coloured it using blender pens with Wild Wasabi and Rose Red.  I then cut it out carefully.  I added some mini gold sequins and then attached it all together.  I wanted to add a touch of Stella to the flower but I opened a new one and it all came out in a big whoosh, so it’s a bit more sparkly than I intended.

Let me know what you think and leave a comment below.

Next up is Rachel.

Make sure you join in at our Facebook group and share your project featuring this section.
