I’m a day late with my post this week, my apologies, work got in the way of creating, how rude!!
So this week, I was inspired by the Flurry of Wishes stamp set. This comes with a matching punch which I love!! Anything that saves me cutting out, is a great idea!! Although having said that, I did do some hand cutting on this weeks’ card.
This stamp set always makes me think of snow and snowflakes, so I decided to go with Pool Party as my base card. I used the music paper from Home for Christmas DSP. If you look closely at the paper, the music and words are for Silent Night.
I stamped the largest snowflake in Pool party on the dsp and then stamped the next sized down snowflake in versamark on vellum and used a mix of white embossing powder and dazzling diamonds over the top. I put a few layers of the powder mix on to make it more sparkly. It looks very sparkly in real life. I then hand cut them out, wishing there was a matching framelit!!
I then used the same mix of embossing powder and dazzling diamonds to stamp the sentiment on pool party cardstock. I cut it out with the Project Life – paper clips thinlits.
Here’s a close up of the sparkles.
I added a Snowflake Element and put a pearl in the centre of the 3 snowflakes for a touch of glamour. I’m very happy with the sparkly result!! We won’t talk about the sparkly desk. hehe!!
