Spring Planter

Well, it’s not Spring here at the moment, (in fact, this been a really hot, humid summer) but you can always appreciate pretty flowers!

I love Bronwyn’s Spring Planter Box Card with it’s pretty array of flowers.

I decided to use the Wood Textures DSP stack for the planter box part.  I then used the Petals & More thinlits for the leaves.  I then used the May Flowers framelits and the matching Falling Flowers stamp set.  I used the Subtles collection cardstock to create a pretty bunch.  These colours look so lovely together.

I made a slight mistake in that I got stuck into attaching the flowers and then realised that I had used the bottom of the planter so the pieces to attach the flowers are lower down.  I had used fast fuse so there was no undoing!  That stuff sticks well!

This tutorial is great to follow, and so easy to understand.  Just click here to purchase it today.

These flowers are perfect for me as my pussy cats like to eat any flowers that come into the house!

I hope you like my planter box!  Please leave me a comment and let me know.

Falling Flowers Bridge Fold Card

It’s been a lovely week of holidays following the excitement of Onstage.  I’ve put up my Christmas Trees (no, it’s not too early!!), done some Christmas shopping and spent time in the craft room.

I have my regular card making class on Saturday and the ladies are always up for a challenge (hehe, well I like to think so!), so I decided to check out Bronwyn’s tutorials over at Addinktive Designs.

I decided to have a try of the Window Box Bridge Fold card, which you can check out here.

I have used the Falling Flowers stamp set with the co-ordinating May Flowers framelits.  I also used the Petal Garden DSP stack and took the colours of the stamping and card stock from that.  I have used Old Olive, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugar plum.

When cutting out the flowers, I felt that they needed a bit more colour so I used my blender pens and coloured in the flowers.

For my sentiments, I used the Birthday Banners stamp set and the Window Shopping stamp set, so that the ladies have a couple of different options.

In the centre of the flowers, I have used a glitter enamel dot for a bit of sparkle. I’ve also added Wink of Stella to the smallest flower.

If you would like the tutorial to create a Window Box Bridge Fold card, make sure you head on over to Bronwyn’s tutorial shop and purchase yours today.

I’d love to hear what you think about my version of the Window Box Bridge card, so please leave me a comment.

CTC122 – Falling in Love

I have been looking forward to casing this section for weeks as it has my favourite ever DSP in it!!

We are casing the Falling in Love section, pages 50-54 of the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

I decided to case the card on the bottom of page 52.  These thinlits are just so beautiful.  I hadn’t actually used this floral piece prior to this card and I don’t know why I waited!!

Of course, my favourite paper, the Falling in Love DSP had to make an appearance!!  I cut out the thinlits with the dsp and then selected one of the background sheets for the lower portion.  I felt it need something to make it pop, so I used the Falling Petals embossing folder.  I did put some Stella on the banner and on some of the little embossed hearts.

There are just so many pretty cards in this section that I couldn’t just stop with one!  I also cased the gift bag on the right hand side on page 50.

I didn’t want to make a gift bag so I turned it into a card.  I cut out the hearts banner from the thinlits and added some lace and gold ribbon for a pretty touch.  I just got the Falling Flowers bundle so I had to use the framelits for the gold leaves and the pink pirouette flowers.  I used the Beautiful You stamp set for the sentiment.

I’m really happy with how this one turned out!

Next up is my lovely sister line, Mel Pagano, who I get to see next weekend at Onstage in Sydney!!
