I don’t know about you but I like to have a variety of cards on hand in my stash to cover most occasions. I found recently that I didn’t have any suitable sympathy cards and decided to make a couple for stamp club recently.
I really like the Corner Garden stamp set so I decided to colour this set with my blender pens and again with the markers for a different look. I also used the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set for the sentiments.
This is the first time that I’ve used the new Thick Whisper White cardstock and it’s lovely!! We also cracked out the new Archival basic black ink pad, which will be available from 1 September, and it does a nice crisp image.
I let the ladies at stamp club choose what they wanted to use, markers or blender pens and ink pads, and creativity reigned!! We also choose the coloured backing on the day to suit the colours that they used.
So here is my card using blender pens and the subtles ink pads.
At stamp club, I went with blender pens and the brights ink pads.
For my last sample, I went with the Regals markers.
In order to get the sentiments straight, I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to help line it all up. Seeing as there is so much work in colouring, you don’t want to mess it up on the last step!!
Stampin’ Up! Product List
From Christmas cards, that is!!!!
I have been making lots of Christmassy things for ages and I am slightly over it!! I have a dear friend having a birthday this week, so I wanted to make a special card for her. I have to say I really enjoyed making something else!!
I wanted to use the Corner Garden stamp set and my blendabilities. Honestly, it’s been ages since I used them!!
So a quick search on Pinterest found this lovely card by It’s a Stamp Thing. I love the way she uses only a portion of the stamp.
As my friend loves anything purple, I had to use Blackberry Bliss. This is such a gorgeous deep purple. The photos definitely don’t do it justice. I embossed the crumb cake cardstock with white embossing powder. This looked lovely all on it’s own. I will have to try it with coloured cardstock as well. I then coloured it with Old Olive for the leaves, and then Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy.
I hope she likes it!!

Welcome to the first (of many, I hope!!) blog hop of my fabulous team, the Eureka Stampers!!!
We come under the leadership of the lovely Simone Bartrum. We are spread across the country but we keep in touch through our team facebook group, sharing what we have made, and helping each other out with advice. I love being a part of this team and catching up with everyone at Convention!!
Seeing as we have a brand spanking new catalogue, we decided to do a blog hop featuring projects from the new catalogue.
You may have noticed that I have been doing a few projects lately with Blendabilities. (Yes, just one or two, I know!!) So, of course, I had to feature these today!!!
I now have a few more stamps appropriate for colouring since my order arrived. I especially bought the Corner Garden stamp to use with Blendabilities. I was really happy with how this card turned out. It took a while to do, so I would suggest doing these for someone special in your life who will appreciate the work involved. I have a very special lady in mind for this one!
My second project features the new Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags and the Accessory Kit. I have actually cased the catalogue on page 7, however I have made a few changes. The Accessory kit comes with self-adhesive strips so I thought the new Hearts Border punch would look pretty across the bottom of the bag. It also comes with 18.3 metres (yes that’s right!) of Whisper White Thick Baker’s Twine which I used around the top of the bag.
So the next stop on the hop is the wonderful Simone Bartrum. I wonder what awesomeness she has come up with?? You can click on the link, here.
In case you get lost on the hop, here is a list of everyone who is participating. Just click on their name and it will take you to their blog.
