16 September 2012 – ESAD 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hi everyone!!

It’s time again for another ESAD Blog Hop.

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it  with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

Now the blog hop started at Chloe Evans and you may be joining in from across the sea with the talented Narelle Hoggard, but if you are joining in here, no worries, just keeping on hopping around each blog until you get back here.

Now for my project.  I’ve joined in a couple of the U-Stamp with Dawn Big Shot classes and received lots of templates for great projects but I’ve rarely used them. (Bad, I know!!)  I wanted to make something a little different this time, so I had a look through my templates and decided upon the Petal Cone Accordion Wreath which was designed by Betty Traciak.

I have used the Summer Smooches DSP which is so bright and cheery, just right for spring.  You need to cut out lots of petal cones from the die and also the half scallop circles.  I’ve also used the bird from Betsy’s Blossoms and the For you comes from Layered Labels.  I just love the matching framelits.  (I must confess, I’m rather addicted to the framelits, I’ve bought nearly all of them!!  and the rest are on the list!!)

Here’s a close up of the centre.

I’ve used the Scallop circle die and I’ve place rhinestones in each scallop (did you know that there are 30!).  I’ve used one of my favourite embossing folders, Elegant Lines.  The birdie is sitting on a branch from the Bird builder punch.  I also cut out the wing of the bird and popped it out with a dimensional.    I had stamped the whole image from the Layered Labels stamp set in Rich Razzleberry but it need a bit of Daffodil Delight to brighten it up.  I used the Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon for the bow.

Stamp Set:  Layered Labels, Betsy’s Blossoms

Ink:  Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry

Paper:  Summer Smooches DSP, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White

Accessories:  Big Shot, Petal Cone die, Scallop circle die, Elegant Lines embossing folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, bird builder punch, rhinestones, Island Indigo ruffled ribbon.

Now your next stop on the hop is with the very talented Delys Cram from New Zealand.  Just click on her name and enjoy your trip across the sea!

Here’s a list of all the blogs in the hop, in case you get side tracked.  I hope you enjoy all the wonderful creations from these talented ladies.  Just click on their name and it will take you to their page.

28 August 2012 – Sneak Peak 2

Wow, posting 2 days in a row, Amazing, I know!!

I found the next card on Pinterest here.  I think this is a really sweet little card which you can whip up quickly and just change the greeting.  I’ve used the postage stamp punch to add a bit of detail around the image.

Stamps:  Betsy’s Blossoms, Kindness Matters

Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Rose Red, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi

Paper:  Crumb Cake (Mum’s favourite!), Whisper White

Accessories:  (What, no big shot!) Postage Stamp Punch

I have cased this one from Pinterest here, from Andrea Walford.  I love her cards and I’m so glad that she has started posting Stampin Up! cards again on her blog.  I made a couple of changes to the card and I used the Memorable Moments stamp set and the matching Labels Collection framelits.  Love it when it all matches and fits perfectly!!

Stamp Sets:  Betsy’s Blossoms, Memorable Moments

Ink:  Old Olive, Raspberry Ripple

Paper:  Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White

Accessories:  Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits

I’m also loving the new foam ink pads.  Check out this video from Shannon West at Stampin’ Up!.

27 August 2012 – Sneak Peak 1

Hi all,

I had my catalogue launch on Saturday for the new Stampin’ Up! 2012 – 2013 Catalogue this weekend and it was a great success!!  The girls had a great time and everyone walked away with a prize!  They also got a copy of the new Catalogue and the Seasonal Catalogue.  Yes, there are two catalogues coming out at once!!  So exciting!!!  The Seasonal catty is to die for.  So many amazing stamps and accessories.  Fortunately it goes until the end of January, so I should hopefully be able to get it all!! (But don’t tell my husband!)

This week, I am going to share with you a few of the cards that I made to display at the launch and also what we made.

Here are a couple made with Betsy’s Blossom Stamp set.  It is a cute set with a little bird just asking to be cut out.  This first card was cased here, from Ladybug Designs.  I’ve changed it to the new In-colour, Midnight Muse.  I love the new Bitty Banners Framelits as I am hopeless at cutting even ends on a banner.  I get one end just nice and the other is not.

Stamps:  Betsy’s Blossom, Loving Thoughts

Ink:  Midnight Muse, Wild Wasabi

Paper:  Midnight Muse, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White

Accessories:  Big Shot, Stripes Embossing folder, Adorning Accents Edgelit, Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners framelits, Wild Wasabi stitched grosgrain ribbon,  2 3/8″ scallop circle punch, 1 3/4″ circle punch, rhinestone.

I found the next card on Pinterest here.  There are so many lovely ideas there.  You can spend more time just looking than actually making!!  This card uses the new Oval Accent Bigz die which is just lovely.  I love all the new dies that are coming out!!

Stamp Sets:  Betsy’s Blossoms, Kindness Matters

Ink:  Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Early Espresso

Paper:  Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White

Accessories:  Big Shot, Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die, Bitty Banners framelit, Square Lattice embossing folder, Daffodil Delight stitched grosgrain ribbon.

Check back tomorrow for more sneak peaks!!
