I’m excited to back with Colour Inkspiration Challenges this week!

We have such a lovely, bright combo to share with you. Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.

To create my cards for CI challenges, I always start by getting out the cardstock in the challenge colours. I then browse through my stamp sets to see what inspires me. I keep my stamp sets in alphabetical order and as you will be able to tell, I didn’t get very far this time!! I went with Accented Blooms as I love colouring the flowers.

I coloured the greenery using a blender pen and Granny Apple Green ink. I then coloured the flowers using the Lovely Lipstick and Daffodil Delight blends. I didn’t actually blend the colours but used the light and dark pens to create different coloured flowers.

To add a bit of texture, I used the Subtle embossing folder on the Daffodil Delight layer. I also tied a knot in a piece of Granny Apple Green textured weave ribbon across the bottom of the card.

Next up is the lovely Jackie.

We can’t wait to see what you create using these colours, so please add your creation to our Facebook group.

CTC183 – Animal Expedition

It’s hard to believe that I’ve already been home a week!  Is it just me or is this year just flying past?

This week we are casing the Animal Expedition section, pages 26-37.

There are so many cute cards in this section!  I love the Animal Outing set but I haven’t got it yet, so I decided to case the kitty card on page 31.

As I have two handsome boys, Shadow and Jaster, I had to change the card to be just kitties.

I coloured the cats from the Pretty Kitty Stamp set to be similar to Shadow and Jaster.  I coloured Shadow using a basic black watercolour pencil and a blender pen to colour it.  I used the Smoky Slate blends to colour Jaster.  I used the two different methods as I didn’t want Shadow to be a solid black.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Pretty Kitty stamp set and I added a strip of dsp from my favourite, Share What You Love Specialty DSP.  Oh and the background is from this paper as well.

To create the banner, I cut the ends of the white cardstock with the tailored tag punch.

Next up is fellow kitty lover, Peta.

Make sure you join in with this week’s challenge and add your entry over at our Facebook group.

Perfect Cards for the man in your life

Welcome to 2018!  I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a fun New Years.   It’s been so hot in Queensland for the last few weeks, I spent a fun day in the air conditioning just pottering around.  It’s been too hot to craft!!

My fabulous team has been doing a swap with the goodies we have been able to pre-order from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue. (One of the perks of being a demonstrator!!)

There are so many fabulous new products in this catalogue and it was hard to choose what to make!

I decided to use the Truly Tailored stamp set and the matching True Gentleman DSP.  We also have a new Tailored Tag Punch which is great!

I’ve used Night of Navy cardstock as the base and then Tranquil Tide cardstock which has been embossed with the Hexagons embossing folder.

I punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch and the True Gentleman DSP.  I just love this DSP!  I stamped the sentiment from Truly Tailored stamp set in Night of Navy.

And check out the Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon!!  Love it!!!

If you would like a copy of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue, just email me at and I’ll post one out to you straight away.

Don’t forget the 2017 Holiday Catalogue finishes on 2 January, so make sure you pick up those last bits and pieces today!
