What a pretty bauble

I don’t know about you but I love a pretty, colourful, sparkly bauble on my Christmas tree.  And if I could somehow make this stamped bauble into a real one, it would be on my tree in a flash!!  I’m speaking of the Christmas Bauble stamp from the Holiday catalogue, of course!!

I knew as soon as I saw this stamp that I needed to have it!!  It’s also great for colouring with Blendabilties (fancy that!!)

I found this great sketch at Mojo Monday and thought it would suit.

I used the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack as my inspiration for the colours.  I used Whisper White as the base cardstock and Garden Green as the next layer.  I used a piece of Gold Satin ribbon as a touch of luxury.  Then I got stuck into colouring with my blendies!!  Love, love!!!

To create the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Good Greetings stamp set and used the Modern label punch to punch it out.  To mat it, I used the Decorative label punch and cut it in half.

If you like the greeting stamp, you can earn this set for free by hosting a qualifying workshop up to 31 October.  Contact me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au to arrange a date.

Happy Stamping!!

I love the mo, bro!!

I have to confess that I love the new moustache framelit and matching stamp set!! When I first saw it, I thought it was very cute but I didn’t need it. But I kept looking at it and finally decided to bite the bullet and get it. And at only $13.95 for the framelit, you can’t really go wrong!!

I thought it would make a great card for Father’s Day for stamp club so I did a quick search on Pinterest and found a great card by Rose Castillo here.

I only made a couple of changes by punching out the sentiment with the Word Window punch and mounting it on the Modern label punch. I love the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamps set as they all fit into the word window punch and there are lots to choose from. A couple of the ladies used the Happy Birthday stamp instead.

And here’s a closer look at the mo.

I hope you like it!! And I hope Dad and Pop don’t look here before Father’s Day!! I think I’m pretty safe!!

Happy Stamping

20 January 2014 – Oohh, I like the shiny paper!!!

Where is the year going!!! It seems to be flying past already!!

We had stamp club on the weekend and I wanted to share a project using the gorgeous Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. I really love this DSP and wanted to show how it could be used in a non-christmassy way. I had not used all the shimmery paper in the pack (shock, horror, I know!!), so I decided to use that one as the background.

I was inspired by Dani Dziama, here. I loved her card, especially with the doily.

I gave the girls a sneaky peak at a new product being featured in the Sale-a-bration catalogue, the mini banner punch!! Is that not the cutest punch you’ve ever seen!! I am hopeless at making the ends of banners even so this is perfect for me.

Here’s a close up of the banner.

29 September 2012 – Festive Friday Challenge

I came across the Festive Friday Challenge at Nicole Derendorf’s blog and thought it was a nice, easy sketch that I could do.  I immediately thought of the Festival of Prints DSP stack in the Holiday catalogue.

It was hard to choose which paper to use, so I picked 5 different ones.  My next dilemma was finding a small stamp to fit into the Modern label punch.  Most of my small word stamps have retired but I managed to find one in the Petite Pairs stamp set which fitted nicely.  I matted it on the ends and then added a decorative label punch with the silver glimmer paper as it is Christmas after all and we need to have some bling!!  This would be a great card for mass production as it doesn’t take very long to put together.

I’d love it if you would leave a comment so that I know there’s someone having a look!

Here’s a close up of the bling.

Stamp Set:  Petite Pairs

Paper:  Festival of Prints DSP stack, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo

19 May 2012 – May Stamp Club – No. 3

Here’s the last card that we will be making today.  I cased this one from here.  This card looks much nicer in the flesh.  I’ve glittered the flower in the middle (and myself and the desk!!) using Dazzling Diamonds.

Did I mention that Stampin’ Up! have changed the starter kit?  It’s now even better to join SU!  It’s only $169 for the starter kit and you can choose whatever products you like up to the value of $235.  So if you already have a few Stampin’ Up! products, you don’t have to double up on them now.  If you join in May, you can also receive a pack of Designer Series Paper every month from June to December.  How great it that!!  Please contact me if you are interested.  stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au or 0408 193 792.

13 February 2012 – Birthday Cards

Hi everyone,

As you may know, I’m a member of the Extra Special Aussie Demonstrators (ESAD) on Facebook.  It’s for Australian and New Zealand Demonstrators to share and chat about Stampin’ Up!  One of the things we do is Birthday Fairies.  Once you sign up, you go on the list to send cards when it is someone’s birthday.  I had mine last month and I had so much happy mail!!  What a talented bunch!!

Here’s a card that I’ve made for one of the February birthdays.  I recently got the Medallion stamp after umming and ahhing for quite a while but I think I’m in love with it now!!  I cased it from here.  I added a bit of glitter paper as you always need a bit of bling!!

17 September 2011 – New Punch

I have recently purchased the new Doily Triple Layer punch and I just love it!!  I can’t wait to show it to my stamp club girls!!

I also got the new seam binding ribbon and it is lovely to use.  So easy to tie into a bow.

I cased this card from Debra on Splitcoast Stampers and just changed the colours to suit what I had.  Thanks also to the Colour Coach for helping with the colours, gotta love it!

A bit fiddly, but certainly has the wow factor!!
