CTC199 – Country Lane

ctc_header

I have had a great week!!  Family party to celebrate my Pop’s 95th birthday and then a quick trip to Sydney to see The Piano Guys at the Opera house.  The show was fabulous!!  Possibly one of the best shows I have ever seen.

This wee we are casing the Country Lane Suite, pages 42-47, of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.

I just love the Tin Tile Dynamic embossing folder!!  It looks stunning done in gold, silver or copper foil but equally as lovely using cardstock.

I’ve decided to case one of the cards from the cover image,  at the bottom left hand corner.

I used the Tin Tile embossing folder in Blackberry Bliss for the background.  I don’t have the Country Lane stamp set but I do have the Country Lane DSP.  I fussy cut the vase and flowers (lucky it’s only small!!).  I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases in Blackberry Bliss and used the Everyday Label punch.  I added a strip of the DSP at the top and bottom of the punch.

Have you seen the Chicken wire elements in the catalogue?  I got them recently and I love them!!  Don’t they just add a bit of bling to the card!

Welcome to another great week at Colour Inkspiration!   We are showcasing the Regals Colour collection this week.  You can choose 3 colours and any of the basics.

As you may know, I’m heading to Orlando in November to attend Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary Onstage event.  And, of course, I’ll be visiting all the Walt Disney World parks!!

The Graceful Glass vellum reminds me of the roses from Beauty and the Beast so I based my card around that.

I coloured using the Real Red and Shaded Spruce.  I added a piece of whisper white card stock behind the vellum to make the colours stand out more.  I also stamped two flowers from the Painted Glass stamp set and cut out with the Stained Glass thinlits.

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of crushed curry and cut out with the Everyday Label punch.

CTC144 – Quilted Christmas

Firstly, Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s!!  I had afternoon tea with my parents today which was lovely.

So how exciting is this week!!  We have our first CTC hop with the 2017 Holiday Catalogue!!!  We are caseing the Quilted Christmas section, pages 4-9.

Isn’t the Quilted Christmas bundle amazing?!  But I haven’t used it today for my card.  I decided to case the box on page 9 (on the right) featuring the Good Tidings stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake paper (don’t you use Kraft was still available!).  I then created a banner using the Quilted Christmas DSP stack and a piece of Real Red cardstock.

I used the new Everyday Label punch and cut out one piece in Garden Green and turned it portrait and another in Whisper White.  I stamped the holly and sentiment (which comes from Christmas Happiness stamp set) in Garden Green and Real Red.  I used the fine tip glue pen to add shine to the holly berries.  I also stamped and fussy cut a holly leaf out as well.

For a touch of bling, I added some mini gold sequins.  And have you noticed the vintage crochet trim?  It’s so lovely!!

I hope you enjoy the cards in this week’s hop!  Next up is Monique with her gorgeous project.

When I am in my craft room, my kitty, Jaster, often sits with me.  He actually has his own chair (well we share them depending which one he is on!)  Last week, Shadow (AKA Mr Fatty) decided he was lonely and joined us as well.  Shame there wasn’t room for me to sit at my desk!!

Happy Stamping
