I have just returned from the Inspire Create Share convention held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. I always have such a great time, catching up with my team, seeing lots of great projects and did I mention that I got a copy of the New Catalogue!!! I love being a demo!!!
One of the traditions of convention, is participating in swaps. My team had decided to do a two-inchie swap. What’s that, I hear you ask? It’s basically a 2 inch square, which we decided to do using the brights colour collection and in a party theme.
So here is my swap. I used the owl punch and made 40 crazy owls!! (He’s been to a party after all!!)
As you know, I am also part of the Case-ing the Catty Design Crew. Most of us were attending convention and we decided to do a small swap.
I have been wanting to try out the Bokeh technique so I thought I would give it a try. It was a bit scary but I’m happy with how it turned out. Each one looks different!!
If you would like to find out about becoming a demonstrator and getting to share in the fun of convention, seeing products first and receiving the catalogue before everyone else, please contact me on 0408 193 792 or click on the link to join my team straight away!!
Now to start cleaning up my craft room!! It always looks like a bomb has hit before convention!!!

This week at Case-ing the Catty, we have started on the Holiday Catalogue!! There are so many tags in the catty once you start looking!! It was hard to decide which one to case!! However, as soon as I saw the box and cute tag on page 20 of the AU/NZ catalogue, I knew what I was going to make!!
Isn’t it cute!! And of course, I had to use the new gift box punch board!! You may notice that I love this!! I started with an 8″ x 8″ square of Kraft cardstock and scored at L on the start line and S on the Diagonal line. I then stamped the cardstock with Versamark and used the larger snowflake stamp from the Letterpress Winter stamp set for a subtle print on the box. I cut a 2″ strip from the gorgeous All is Calm Specialty DSP and wrapped it around the box with a piece of Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon. Don’t you just love the paper doilies! They add a pretty touch!
To make the tag, I cut a 5cm wide strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock and punched out a tag using the Angled Tag Topper punch. I then ran it through my Textured Boutique machine with the Lucky Stars embossing folder. I used the Bitty Banner framelits to make the silver flags. Next, I did some silver embossing on the brushed silver cardstock using the smaller snowflake stamp and punched it out with my new 2″ circle punch. Then a quick stamp of the For You stamp and punched out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch. I then added 2 mini silver brads for a bit of bling. Then to assemble it on the box! I added an All is Calm snowflake and attached a rhinestone for more shine!!
But I know that not everyone likes non-traditional colours at Christmas time, so I did a red/green one as well. I used the Nordic Noel DSP on this one. I hope you like it!!
So make sure you join in with the Challenge at http://www.caseingthecatty.blogspot.com.au
You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations. It doesn’t even have to be about scrapbooking, journaling or Project Life.
For example, you can use a sketch idea for a card or 3D item.
* Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking)
* Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun.
* Let us know what project you CASED and make reference to the page of your country’s catalogue where you got your inspiration.
* SUO products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges.
Hope you can join in!!

One of my favourite parts of Convention is receiving free stamps!!! I was fortunate enough to be able to attend Leadership and Managers’ Reception with some of the lovely girls in my team.
We got to go to the Myer Mural Hall in Melbourne for a lovely dinner and dancing!! We also got spoilt with a beautiful gift of a gorgeous lacy cream scarf and the I Love Lace stamp set.
So I was having an online crafting session with a gorgeous friend and crazy stamper, and we gave each other a colour challenge and a sketch challenge to do. My colours were Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango and Sahara Sand.
So what do you think!! The lace stamp is so gorgeous that it goes with almost anything!!
It’s been a few weeks since I posted but life has been a bit crazy lately and I just haven’t had time to post.
I wanted to showcase the gorgeous Modern Medley DSP and I found this lovely card on Pinterest by Linda Gutierrez here.
I didn’t have the same stamp set so I used one of my new favourite flower stamps, Stippled Blossoms. I love this set!!
Have I also mentioned that I love framelits and matching stamp sets!! and the new magnetic platform!! Words do not describe how fabulous it is. I love it!! So much better than using post-it notes.
