It’s all about the Angle (or is it Angels!!)

I recently got the new polymer set, Bravo, which has lots of huge stamps in it!! I was browsing Pinterest for a card to do a stamp club to show this great set to the girls, when I came across this one from Debbie Henderson, here.

I was keen to have a go in her colour combo as it had lots of gold and sparkle on it, but when I looked at my stash, I didn’t have any gold foil sheets (how does that happen!!). So then I thought I would try a colour combo inspired by the latest addition to my washi tape collection, Beach House, which is Crushed Curry, Pool Party and Real Red.

It was quite interesting to work out how to get the angles on the card, but I just cut 2 pieces the same size and then laid them on top of the base piece. I then played around with the layout and once I was happy, I used a ruler and pen and drew a line where the edge of the card was on the top layer, then did the same on the second layer. I cut them out with my paper trimmer and had to work out which piece went where!! We certainly had fun with this part at stamp club!! One of the girls had to put her cut off bits back around the card so she could work out which way was up!!

We then used the paper piercing tool and went around the edges of the card and the first layer. I always forget how nice this looks until I do it again!

I love the banner framelits! I am really bad at cutting banners evenly, so I was ecstatic when Stampin’ Up! brought out these framelits.

Happy Stamping!!

15 May 2014 – It’s a clear day!!

Well, actually it’s a bit cloudy today but I’ve been having a play with the new clear photopolymer stamps that Stampin’ Up! have just introduced to Australia.

I’m really enjoying using them. I was a bit apprehensive as I have used clear stamps in the past and haven’t been happy with the result. But as always, Stampin’ Up! have done a great job and created clear stamps that stamp just as nicely as their rubber stamps.

This month, you can earn a free class which has lots of videos and projects for you to make using the photopolymer stamps. It’s a great way to get used to these stamps. All you have to do is purchase the Show and Tell Bundle which includes both Show and Tell Stamp Sets and you will receive the class for free. But they are only available until 31 May so order them now through my online shop here.

So here are a few of the cards that I have made from the classes.
