I don’t know about you but I’m in love with My Digital Studio and I may be addicted to buying downloads each week!! Did you know that every Tuesday, Stampin’ Up! release new downloads!! How great it that!!! You can go straight to them here.
But it’s also good to actually use what you’ve purchased!! I came across a blog today which does a challenge each week, MDS Monday. Check them out here. I haven’t done many cards in MDS yet so I thought I would try out their current card sketch which you can see here. They also include a video to explain some of the techniques used.
So here is the sketch.
And here is my card.
Stamps: Cake & Ice Cream, Always
DSP: Ventian Romance, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla
Ink: Island Indigo
Accessories: Basic Perls, Delicate Doilies sizzlit, circle punch, flag punch
Let me know what you think!!
I am part of a Facebook group which is open to everyone who loves My Digital Studio™, Simply My Digital Studio Challenge, which has a new challenge each week to try out new techniques or sketches. You can check it out here.
Recently, a sketch was posted which I felt I could do now that I’ve been playing with MDS™ for a while. It didn’t take all that long to do once I had decided which papers to use. I got the Convention 2013 download which goes perfectly with my Convention photos. It also has an album which I’m still working on.
If you are interested in MDS™, you can download a free trial. Just click on the picture and download away!!
It’s already time for a My Digital Studio Sale!! I am loving this great program. It’s so easy to use. I’m still working out how to use it but I’m not finding it too difficult. I have become slightly addicted to downloading more templates!! So it’s great that there is a sale on at the moment.
Here is one of my first pages using one of the free templates that are available.
So as you can see, I’ve still got a bit to go but it doesn’t take much to make a nice page.
You can download MDS for free for 30 days by clicking here. Be sure to select me as your demonstrator!!
Helloooo, Poppets!!!! Or rather Hello, Doily!! I love this doily stamp! I have seen so many lovely cards made with it!
I did this card at a new class that I’ve started close to home to show different uses for embossing.
We used the glossy card stock and embossing a doily using the versamark ink and white embossing powder. We then used a sponge dauber and rubbed it over the whole piece of card. A quick wipe off over the white embossing and voila!, awesomeness!!
Here’s a close up of the sentiment.
Stamp Set: Hello, Doily, Petite Pairs
Ink: Rose Red, Versamark
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Whisper White, Glossy white
Accessories: White embossing powder, heat tool, sponge daubers, 1 3/4″ scallop circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, Wild Wasabi stitched ribbon
