Perfect Cards for the man in your life

Welcome to 2018!  I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a fun New Years.   It’s been so hot in Queensland for the last few weeks, I spent a fun day in the air conditioning just pottering around.  It’s been too hot to craft!!

My fabulous team has been doing a swap with the goodies we have been able to pre-order from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue. (One of the perks of being a demonstrator!!)

There are so many fabulous new products in this catalogue and it was hard to choose what to make!

I decided to use the Truly Tailored stamp set and the matching True Gentleman DSP.  We also have a new Tailored Tag Punch which is great!

team-swap

I’ve used Night of Navy cardstock as the base and then Tranquil Tide cardstock which has been embossed with the Hexagons embossing folder.

I punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch and the True Gentleman DSP.  I just love this DSP!  I stamped the sentiment from Truly Tailored stamp set in Night of Navy.

And check out the Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon!!  Love it!!!

If you would like a copy of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue, just email me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au and I’ll post one out to you straight away.

Don’t forget the 2017 Holiday Catalogue finishes on 2 January, so make sure you pick up those last bits and pieces today!

I love the mo, bro!!

I have to confess that I love the new moustache framelit and matching stamp set!! When I first saw it, I thought it was very cute but I didn’t need it. But I kept looking at it and finally decided to bite the bullet and get it. And at only $13.95 for the framelit, you can’t really go wrong!!

I thought it would make a great card for Father’s Day for stamp club so I did a quick search on Pinterest and found a great card by Rose Castillo here.

I only made a couple of changes by punching out the sentiment with the Word Window punch and mounting it on the Modern label punch. I love the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamps set as they all fit into the word window punch and there are lots to choose from. A couple of the ladies used the Happy Birthday stamp instead.

And here’s a closer look at the mo.

I hope you like it!! And I hope Dad and Pop don’t look here before Father’s Day!! I think I’m pretty safe!!

Happy Stamping

5 September 2012 – Belated Father’s Day

Father’s Day always creeps up on me and catches me by surprise!!  I was just a little bit late giving my dad his card and present (sorry!!).  I am so glad that The Open Sea stamp set has carried into the new catalogue.  It is a great masculine set.  I have cased this card from fellow demonstrator, Kim Stathakos.  One of the great parts of being a demonstrator is that you get access to Stampin’ Connection which is a forum for all Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, which is where I found Kim’s card.  I’ve changed it a little as US card sizes are bigger than ours here in Australia.  I hope you like it.

I’ve used Midnight Muse which is fast becoming my favourite blue!!  Although there is a special place in my heart for Marina Mist as well.

Stamp Set:  The Open Sea

Ink:  Midnight Muse

Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla

Accessories:  brads.

Wow, I’ve just realised that I didn’t use the Big shot or a punch.  That’s a first for a while!!

21 March 2011

I’ve been trying to post more regularly but sometimes life just gets in the way!!!  Never mind, here’s a card that I have made as part of a swap with my team, Eureka Stampers.  One of the great benefits about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is being a part of a team and learning and sharing with fellow demonstrators.  One of the ways we do this, is by swapping cards.  You make, say 6 card fronts, and then post them to 5 demonstrators, keeping one for yourself.  Then you end up with 6 gorgeous card fronts to get inspiration from!!!

If you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator, and enjoying the wonderful benefits, please contact me.  If you join prior to the end of March (and Sale-a-bration), you will be able to choose another stamp set from the main catalogue as part of your starter kit for free!!  How great is that!!!

This month’s theme for our swap is Male cards which I always find a bit of a challenge.  I’m currently getting “happy” mail every day and it’s great to see different ideas!!.  Here’s my card.  I used a sketch from Utah Divas International for inspiration.

Paper:  Blueberry Crisp DSP, Not Quite Navy, Pacific Point, Sahara Sand

I needed a card for a friend’s birthday tomorrow, so here is one that I cased from Splitcoaststampers, (Thanks Chicagogirl).

As you can see my card is a little smaller than her’s and I’ve used different paper.

14 September 2009

The weather at the moment is just lovely!!!  Although it is a bit chilly in the morning when I get up, the days are just beautiful.  When I get home from work, I love to see the kangaroos in the back yard eating all the grass.  On the weekend, there must have been about 10 kangaroos from baby size to BIG daddy size.

130_3006

Although this isn’t a kangaroo inspired card, it’s got an animal theme!!!  (I know, I’m stretching it a bit!!!)  I made this card for my brother-in-law’s birthday (Happy Birthday, Dazza, you old thing!!).  I think this set, Just Beachy, from the Spring mini, is great for male cards, and also beach themes.
