It’s finally starting to get a bit cooler (hopefully we are on the down hill slide to winter!).  It’s so much nicer to craft without the humidity!

We are back with another gorgeous colour challenge this week.  (Actually, aren’t they all amazing!)  We are using Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, Garden Green and Very Vanilla.

Isn’t the inspiration picture just divine!  These colours just make me think of flowers!

I always chuckle when Crumb Cake is used for a challenge.  Whenever I use Crumb Cake in my classes, my mum (who always comes) hates Crumb Cake and calls it the dung colour!!  And how often do we use crumb cake?  All the time!!!  It makes a great base for all sorts of colours.

I have used the Garden Trellis embossing folder to create some texture on the background.  I then dug out my Rose Wonder stamp set.  I wanted to do soft colouring for the flowers so I inked up the rose of the stamp with Blushing Bride ink and then carefully inked up the leaves in Garden Green.  I then coloured them in using the ink and an aqua painter, being careful to not make it too damp. I cut out the flower by hand.

I added some mini gold sequin trim behind the flowers cos you always need sparke!

I stamped the outline of the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and the Happy Birthday in Garden Green then cut it out on the big shot using the matching die from the Rose Garden Thinlits.

We are back with another gorgeous colour challenge for you this week.

Aren’t those boots amazing!  I want some in that colour!!  This week’s colours are Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Night of Navy.

When I get ready to create my colour projects, I always get out the card stock and look at it together and see what grabs me about it.  The Rich Razzleberry stood out for me with this one so I decided to make it the background piece.  Then I grabbed the Graceful Garden stamp set and decided to use the matching Garden Trellis embossing folder.

I love the new crinkled seam binding ribbon and I was excited that this challenge include Night of Navy so I could use my ribbon!!  I added the bow at the base of the flower so that it looks like it is tied around the bouquet.

Speaking of the flower, I embossed it in gold and fussy cut it out.  You know that’s my favourite thing, right!!  NOT!!!  Well, the embossing part is!

My sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  Such a handy stamp set especially when you only want a small sized greeting.  Now, how did I get that little banner?  Well I used the Classic label punch to punch out the sentiment, then went to the side of the punch and re-inserted the banner and punched out a small piece.  (ok, it’s a bit hard to describe, but it’s easy to do!!)

Next up is the talented Krissy Buck

CTC134 – For Babies and Kids

I had my stamp club yesterday and I’ve been practising my baking skills on my ladies!!  I made Cookies and Cream Oreo cupcakes and they looked and tasted great!

We are casing the For Babies and Kids section (pages 102-111) from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue this week.

Now I only have one of the stamps in this section as I don’t need any kid stamps.  Although I do own the Foxy set, I decided to case the pink communion card on page 111.

Instead of using a background stamp, I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder.  On the very vanilla piece in the middle, I stamped off three times using Crumb Cake ink and the background stamp from the Graceful Garden stamp set.  I did the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set in Rose Red.

I stamped my rose in Memento Black then coloured it using blender pens with Wild Wasabi and Rose Red.  I then cut it out carefully.  I added some mini gold sequins and then attached it all together.  I wanted to add a touch of Stella to the flower but I opened a new one and it all came out in a big whoosh, so it’s a bit more sparkly than I intended.

Let me know what you think and leave a comment below.
