Colour Inkspiration 05

Welcome back to another Colour Inkspiration challenge.  Aren’t you just loving seeing all the amazing entries on the Facebook Group?  Congratulations to the winners this week.

I really like the colours in this week’s challenge.  My first thought was baby but apparently a few other team members thought the same so I decided to go floral instead.

This week’s colours are Blushing Bride, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand.  I was excited to find that these colours are in my favourite DSP, Falling in Love from the Occasions catalogue.

I had a flip through my framelits and found the Rose Garden thinlits and decided to base my card around them.  They are just so pretty, I should use them more often.

Once I glued the flowers to the card, I then added Wink of Stella to the flowers to make them sparkle a bit more.  Unfortunately Stella doesn’t seem to photograph well, but she’s there!

CTC77 – Going Places

Firstly, Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mum’s out there!  I spent the day with my mum visiting a craft market, then having lunch at Tamborine Mountain.  Love you, Mum!!

So this week, we are casing the Going Places Section of the Occasions catalogue, pages 38-49.  I don’t have many of the sets in the section, so I decided to case the layout of a card for my inspiration.  I used the Bear card on page 40 on the left hand side.

I love the stripes in the Birthday Bouquet DSP, even if it has got that gorgeous floral on the other side.  I didn’t distress the paper but I did do paper piercing around the edge.  I love that extra detail.  I then used the Rose Garden thinlits and cut out the single flower, a smaller flower and two of the petals.  I played around for a while to get a layout that I liked, then I glued them all down with my favourite glue, the fine tip glue pen.  I added a Wink of Stella to the flower but it’s a bit hard to see in the photo.  I used the Suite Sayings stamp set for the sentiment (love this set!!).

Here is a closer view of the flowers.

I hope you were inspired by my card to use the layouts in the catalogues to create your cards!!

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2016

I can’t believe that we are in 2016 and I’m going to New York THIS YEAR!!!! Bring on September/October!!

In only 2 days time, the 2016 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration will be starting. Do you have your copy of the catalogue yet? If you would like one, let me know and I’ll send one out to you. Contact me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au or 0408 193 792.

There are so many great new products and projects in both of these catalogues. One of my favourites is the Rose Wonder stamp set and the matching Rose Garden thinlits. Both of these are stunning!!!

I really love the Birthday Bouquet DSP but am having trouble cutting into it!! So I made my own background using an aqua painter and blushing bride ink.

I used the thick Whisper White cardstock to stamp my flower and then I coloured it with my aqua painter and old olive for the leaves and blushing bridge for the flower. Doesn’t it look amazing? I was so impressed with how it turned out. Made me feel like I could paint!!

I was going to put the rose thinlit over the top of my coloured flower but it was looking so pretty that I left it on it’s own.

I also added clear Wink of Stella on the petals of the rose for a bit of sparkle. For the sentiment, I used the happy birthday from the Rose Wonder stamp set and the banner from the framelits. Love it when you can use the one set for an entire card!!

As I had already cut out the outline rose from the framelits, I decided to add it to a piece of the Perfectly Artistic DSP which you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration. I used Stella on the inside of the flower for added bling. Again I used the Thank You stamp from Rose Wonder and stamped it onto a banner cut with the Banner Triple Punch.

Sale-a-bration goes from 5 January to 31 March 2016 and you can earn products for free during this time. Everytime you spend $90 in one go, you can choose an item from the SAB catalogue for free!! And if you host a workshop and your sales are over $400, you get an extra $40 in Stampin’ Rewards to spend on whatever you like. Sounds great, doesn’t it!! But wait, there’s more!! You can also purchase the starter kit and receive an additional $60 worth more of product in your kit. That’s a total of $295 of products for only $169! Wow that’s amazing!! If you would like more information about Sale-a-bration, let me know, I’d love to help you. Contact me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au or 0408 193 792.

Happy New Year!!
