After another sweltering week in Queensland, (including a fun hot day with no power!!), we are back casing the 2018 Occasions Catalogue. This week, it’s the Painted with Love section, pages 18-21.
The Painted with Love Specialty DSP is simply stunning! There is gold foil accents on one side of every sheet.
But I decided to create a project from one of the other pages, the Lovely frame on page 20.
I haven’t used the Just Add Color DSP much and I really like the teapot page. I just love blue and white china so I decided to colour my teapots using the Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. I coloured the flowers in a variety of the blends.
I used a piece of the Whisper White Organza Ribbon behind a piece of vellum. I used the Large Letter dies to create the Home sentiment.
Once I had created my piece, I went looking for a square frame. I’m sure I have one in a safe place, but it’s so safe, I can’t find it!!
Next up on the hop is the fabulous Peta!
Make sure you join in with this week’s challenge at our Facebook group!
Don’t forget that Sale-a-bration is still happening! We had a second release of free products, which are really lovely! In order to earn freebies, you need to spend at least $90. You can check out my online store, here.
Hope you have a great week!
Stampin’ Up! Product List
Here we are back at another week of Caseing the Catty. We are casing our Favourite Big Shot project from the 2017 Holiday catalogue.
There are so many great big shot projects in this catalogue. I couldn’t believe how many dies are in it. It was hard to decide which project to choose!
I decided to go with the Tags and Trimmings bundle on page 15, using the Trim Your Stocking thinlits and the matching stamp set, Tags & Trimmings.
Wouldn’t it be fabulous to see an advent calendar with these cute stockings! Sadly, I don’t have the time to make 25 of them!! But I can make 3! I decided to make a Joy banner instead.
Sadly you can’t tell that the baubles are sparkly! I’ve used Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.
I just love the mini dimensionals. They are so handy to use with the Large Letters framelits.
I used the new Quilted Christmas ribbon to make a little loop for the red tinsel trim to go through. The photo really doesn’t do it justice to show how lovely it is.
Next up my amazing friend, Rose. Happy Birthday for yesterday!
I hope you can join us at our Facebook group this week to share your projects.
Stampin’ Up! Product List
It’s been a while but it’s time for another Pennsationals Blog Hop!! You may be starting your hop with me or have come from the lovely Tricia.
We are celebrating the new 2016/2017 Annual Catalogue!! If you don’t have a copy, let me know and I’m happy to post one to you. It is A-MAZ-ING!! There are so many gorgeous new stamp sets and it was so difficult to chose what to use!!
I decided to use the Letters for You stamp set and the co-ordinating framelits and create a Christmas card. The new This Christmas Specialty DSP is lovely so I used that as my inspiration.
Of course, gold and Christmas go together, so I added a gold doily and placed my letters on top. I did a Garden Green card and then a Cherry Cobbler version. I’m not sure which one I like best!! I think they are both nice.
I also wanted to play with the clear treat boxes. They come in a packet of 16 for only $13.25 They do have a clear wrapping on them so make sure you remove it.
I made a ribbon belly band which does come off easily and made a bow using the bow builder punch. Of course, you need gold sequins to finish it off!! Perfect for those little gifts, like Pandora!! (hint hint!!)
So next on the hop is my amazing upline, Tracy Penn.
