CTC211 – All My Love

CTC-header

Well, it’s been a sad week back to work.  No more crafting every day!!

I am excited to share with you our challenge this week.  We are casing the All My Love section, pages 4-9 of the new 2019 Occasions Catalogue.

So many gorgeous projects to choose from!  I decided to case the card on page 7.

I don’t have the heart framelits (yet!!) but I really love this layout.  I actually kept it the same colour, Grapefruit Grove as I haven’t used it much.  Isn’t the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder just gorgeous!!  It is simply stunning in person.

I decided to use the Oval framelits instead of the hearts.  I layered it with the scalloped oval.  My sentiment comes from the new Amazing Life stamp set which I’ve stamped in Grapefruit Grove.

I cut out a flower from Springtime Impressions thinlits in So Saffron and trimmed it down.  I used a piece of Floral Romance DSP and cut it with the Delicate lace edgelits.  I added a piece of Grapefruit Grove grosgrain ribbon.

Don’t you love the embossing folder!  You need it!!

Next up is the amazing Rachel.

It’s an Extravaganza!

ON-LINE-CHRISTMAS-CLASS-copy

My fabulously talented friend, Bronwyn, is running an online Christmas Class Extravaganza at the moment and I am just loving it!!

As you know, I love fancy fold cards and one of our first projects is an Easel card.  I’ve been able to ink up my new Buffalo Check stamp.  Don’t you just love it!  Such a versatile stamp.

I’ve gone with Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover and Whisper White as my colours.  I love traditional Christmas colours!

I’ve used the Detailed Lace Thinlits and did it on both sides of the strip of buffalo check.  Hasn’t it come up pretty!!  My sentiments are from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.

CTC125 – Favourite Big Shot Project

I can’t believe how fast this year is flying past!  We already have the retirement list out and, as demonstrators, we have already seen the next annual catalogue!

However, we are still enjoying the Occasions catalogue for another few more weeks yet! This week, we are casing our favourite big shot projects from the 2017 Occasions catalogue.

When I first saw the catalogue, I loved the Birthday Blast stamp set and the matching Star Blast edgelits. I was so excited when I won the stamp set at Prize Patrol at Onstage in November.  But I haven’t used it as much as I thought I would.  Unfortunately, this set is retiring at the end of May so make sure you grab yours soon.

I have cased both of the cards on page 11 of the catalogue.  I kept the same layout but I used some of the outgoing In-Colours.

I used Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron for the top card.  To jazz it up, I coloured the top star burst with Clear Wink of Stella.

For the next card, I did two versions, one with a silver doily and the other gold.  I can’t decide which one I like the best!  I used Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron for both cards.  Both cards were really easy to put together quickly.  Oh and if you love sequins, all colours are retiring so make sure you grab them soon.  But don’t fret, there’s something super cute to replace them!!

Next up is my lovely friend, Tricia.

Don’t forget that you can also join in with our weekly challenge on our Facebook Group.  Make sure you come and check it out!!

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 11

12 weeks w11

When I saw this bundle, I was so excited!! Aren’t these edgelits gorgeous!!

I was inspired for this week’s card by Paula Dobson, with her entry for Global Design Project #GDP004. I just love the layers of the edgelits on the circle.

I also wanted to use the black glimmer paper which is so pretty, so I used it as the base of my circle. Of course the trees must be green so I decided to use Wild Wasabi and to make it the base of the card. Of course the sleigh must be on silver glimmer paper, so I not only cut the sleigh and horse on silver glimmer paper but I added a layer of silver glimmer paper. So my card is soooo sparkly!! Love! I even did a double layer of whisper white! Doesn’t it look lovely!
