CTC286 – It’s a Mini Twist

I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. I have had to work all weekend but I did manage to get a couple of days off during week which was nice. I did lots of crafting and went to the gym and had a session with my trainer and nearly died!!

This week, we are casing an Annual catalogue project and give it a mini catalogue twist!

So I started flipping through the 2020-20212 Annual Catalogue and didn’t get too far before deciding on my project for this week. On page 13, there is a cute card featuring the smaller flowers from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

I don’t know about you but I always get so distracted by the gorgeous images on the front of the Feels Like Frost dsp but the back is just as stunning with silver foil prints. So I used one of the snowflake images as my background paper. I embossed a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock using the Winter Snow embossing folder for the centre panel.

To create the cluster of flowers, I stamped a snowflake from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and then cut out a few using the So Many Snowflake dies in silver foil and balmy blue glimmer paper. For my sentiment, I used the Warm Hugs stamp set and cut out using the Warm Wraps dies.

I added a couple of loops of the Snowflake Splendor ribbon and because you can never have too much bling, I used a few blue adhesive backed gems!

It looks a lot more sparkly in real life!!

Next up is the lovely Tina.

We would love to see your creation so please share it over on at our Facebook group.

CTC282 – Case your Favourite Mini Catty Bundle

It’s been a windy weekend in Queensland, which makes it feels colder than it is. This week, we are casing our favourite bundle from the August –
December 2020 Mini Catalogue.

I love the Snowflake Splendor suite! Obviously we don’t get snowflakes at Christmas time in Australia, but that doesn’t stop me loving the snowflake bundle!! A girl can dream about a White Christmas, can’t she?

I’m casing the card on the bottom right of page 36.

I used a piece of the Snowflake Splendor DSP and stamped some snowflakes in Highland Heather. I cut out one of the larger snowflakes using the So Many Snowflakes dies.

I cut a 1″ piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, stamped the sentiment and punched out the banner using the new Banners Pick a Punch.

I cut out a card front size of Balmy Blue Glimmer paper and then layered the dsp piece on top.

I then wanted to try this layout with another bundle that I’ve just discovered in the Mini Catalogue, the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle.

I used the light gold brushed paper and the Heartwarming Hugs DSP. I cut a piece of the dsp using the Envelope dies. I did the same banner and added a bow using the Real Red sheer ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed my two version of this card. Next up is the lovely Sandra.

We would love to see your creations showing your favourite mini catalogue bundle so please share over on at our facebook group.
