It’s only 24 more sleeps to go!!! I’m so excited, I love Christmas!! I’ve had a week off to do some Christmas shopping, crafting and baking!! Sadly I’m not having any more time off and am working over Christmas so I need to get stuff done now.
We are taking a break from Christmas cards and are casing the Kids & Babies section, pages 98-105 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.
There are lots of cute cards to choose from!. I’ve decided to case one of the cards on page 101 on the top right of the image
I love the look of the vellum Stitched Lace die so I decided to do the same. I used Rococo Rose cardstock for the background. The scalloped edge is die cut from the Seasonal Layers dies.
One of my craft ladies has been unwell, so I will be sending this card to her. I used the Healing Hugs stamp set with the flower fussy cut. You can’t see it properly but there is the large sentiment shape from the Roses Die in Seaside Spray. The small sentiment is also cut from the same dies. I added a twist of Seaside Spray metallic ribbon for a bit more texture. I did add Stella to the flower but it doesn’t photograph well.
Next up is my lovely friend, Julia.
We would love to see your creation casing this section, so please share it over on at our Facebook group.
Welcome to a fun week of Colour Inkspiration. I’m having a week off work as I’m not having any time off over Christmas (very sad about that!). I’m having a lovely time sleeping in (7am is a sleep in, right?), doing some Christmas shopping, crafting with my Mum and doing some Christmas baking.
We have a great colour combo to play with this week, with Blueberry Bushel, Shaded Spruce, Coastal Cabana, Pretty Peacock and silver.
Isn’t this image just gorgeous! I always start by getting out the cardstock in all the colours and I realised that Blueberry Bushel is part of the Noel Peacock Foil pack. I wanted to emboss it, using the Tin Tile embossing folder. Doesn’t it look stunning!
I used a Pretty Peacock base, and layered the BB foil piece with Silver foil. I decided to use the Bells are Ringing set and matching Detailed Bells Dies. I silver embossed the large bell and then stamped the inside parts of the bell using the Silvery Shimmer ink. I then cut out three other bells in Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana and Silver foil. I also stamped a bunch of leaves in Shaded Spruce.
The sentiment is in Blueberry Bushel and cut out with my favourite Stitched Rectangle dies.
Next up is the lovely Monique. I can’t wait to see what she has created.
Welcome to a fun week of Caseing the Catty!! I haven’t had a chance to join in with the last couple of challenges as it’s that busy time of year!! Last weekend, I went to Sydney for Onstage and was able to catch up with my team. I was lucky to attend Centrestage with my upline and a couple of my stamping friends.
We are trying a different challenge this week and casing an Annual Catalogue layout and give it a Holiday Twist.
It’s always nice to go back through the Annual Catalogue and look closely at all the gorgeous projects. I didn’t get too far in and went with a layout on page 31.
I like the watercoloured background so I used a piece of shimmery white cardstock and did a wash of Garden Green. Once it was dry, I attached to the Real Red card. I really like the Peaceful Boughs stamp set and the sentiment, which I cut out using the Beautiful Boughs dies.
The Real Red ruched ribbon is lovely and works perfectly behind the sentiment. I cut out a few branches and added Ice glitter to the tips.
Next up is the lovely Judy, who I got to hug last week!!
We would love to see your creation casing an Annual Catalogue project and giving a holiday twist over on at our Facebook group.
Welcome to a colourful week at Colour Inkspiration. I’m so glad to be playing along this week.
I went to a Christmas craft gift fair yesterday with my mum and I’m so excited for Christmas!! I love seeing all the gorgeous decorations!!
We have a beautiful colour combo this week. We have Pacific Point, Merry Merlot, Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz.
The Christmastime is Here bundle is now available from 1 November. It includes the Christmas Rose stamp set, Roses Dies, Christmastime is Here Specialty DSP, Gold Glitter Enamel dots, Gold Shimmer Ribbon and a gorgeous bracelet!.
I have been waiting to play with this set and I thought I would have a play with these colours. I used my aqua painter and coloured away!! I used a Pacific Point marker for the berries. I added Wink of Stella over the whole lot once it was dry. I cut out a silver foil strip from the Roses dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Rose stamp set in the gorgeous Silvery Shimmer ink. (Note if you love these shiny inks, including copper and gold, they will not be carrying through so make sure you order them soon!)
Next up is the lovely Jan.
We would love to see what you create with this colours, so make sure you share your project over on at our Facebook group.
I hope you are having a great weekend! I went to the car racing on the Gold Coast with my Dad, Uncle and cousin on Friday and had a fun day!!
This week we are casing a layout on page 52 of the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.
I’m not really into Halloween so I decided to make a floral card. But I was inspired by the layers on the gift bag on the right hand corner.
I love all the layers and I started off by looking through my dies. I was inspired by the Wild Roses dies and the matching stamp set, To a Wild Rose. I then flipped through my DSP’s and decided to go with the Magnolia Lane DSP.
I grabbed the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and zig zagged it across my card. I cut the flower banner in Crumb Cake and the sentiment piece in Petal Pink from the dies.
Next up is the amazing Siobhan. I can’t wait to see her creation this week!!
We would love to see your creation, so please share over on at our Facebook group.
Welcome back to another fun week at Caseing the Catty. I went to a craft show on Friday with my Mum and sister and we had a great time!! So many projects to make and not enough time!!
We are casing the colours of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP and being inspired by a layout from page 30. So the colours are Copper, Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla and Pretty Peacock.
I decided to case the card on the top right. This is such a lovely card, which I think I’m going to re-create as I love the background dsp, the ornaments and the colours. However, I did do something different for our challenge!
For my background, I embossed a piece of copper foil using the Tufted embossing folder. I love this folder!! It is so elegant.
I then cut 2 stitched rectangles in Pretty Peacock and Very Vanilla and stamped the sentiment from the Bells are Ringing stamp set.
I cut out three bells in Pretty Peacock and Copper foil from the Detailed Bells Dies. I trimmed the copper bell and attached it on the bottom left corner. I tied a bow using the copper trim.
I’m really happy with how this card turned out!! It’s so shiny and you know I love bling!!
Next up is the lovely Shannon. I can’t wait to see what clever creation she has this week.
We would love to see your creations over on at our Facebook group.
Welcome to a soggy weekend in South East Queensland. It has been so dry here so it’s nice to finally have a wet weekend. And it’s cold!! We were so hot on Monday with 36 degrees and now it’s 15!
We are casing a layout on page 46 from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.
I decided to case the layout at the bottom left with the ribbon behind the Stitched Nested labels die.
I decided to use the Night Before Christmas DSP and the note cards. You know how you have friends that you give Christmas cards to who are not really into hand made cards and don’t really appreciate the work that goes into them. Well these are the perfect cards for them!!
So I trimmed the cardstock to fit the notecard, cut out the sentiment piece in Old Olive using the Beautiful Boughs Dies and embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder. This pretty sentiment is from the new Christmas Rose stamp set from the Christmas Time is Here Suite which will be available on 1 November. I then used either the Garden Green double stitched ribbon or the Real Red Curly ribbon behind the sentiment. These were so quick and easy to make, that I made 10 with my helper, Jaster.
I hope you like these quick and easy cards. Don’t forget about those cute note cards!! Next up is the lovely Tina.
We would love to see your creations so please share it over on at our Facebook group.
