It’s an Extravaganza!

ON-LINE-CHRISTMAS-CLASS-copy

My fabulously talented friend, Bronwyn, is running an online Christmas Class Extravaganza at the moment and I am just loving it!!

As you know, I love fancy fold cards and one of our first projects is an Easel card.  I’ve been able to ink up my new Buffalo Check stamp.  Don’t you just love it!  Such a versatile stamp.

I’ve gone with Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover and Whisper White as my colours.  I love traditional Christmas colours!

I’ve used the Detailed Lace Thinlits and did it on both sides of the strip of buffalo check.  Hasn’t it come up pretty!!  My sentiments are from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.

It’s a Pocket card

Addinktive Design team button - December 2017

As you know, I’m a member of Bronwyn Eastley’s Design Team.  I was looking for a project to make for my last stamp class, so I turned to Bronwyn’s tutorials for inspiration! All the girls have been making amazing Pocket Card’s using Jackie’s Petal Palette Pocket Card template.

I used the Floral Frames bundle as my inspiration and here’s my colour combo.

I followed Jackie’s tutorial fairly closely.  I love the Foliage Frame framelits and the floral circle is gorgeous!   I used the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon which added a nice little bit of bling to the card!

And for someone who rarely decorates the inside of cards (I know, I should!) I did decorate the inside card.

The ladies in my class loved this card!  It was easy to do, and looks amazing!

Botanical Bliss U Fold Card

Addinktive Design team button - December 2017

One of the things I love about Bronwyn’s tutorial’s at Addinktive Designs, is that they are great to use at my classes!!  I wanted to show case the gorgeous Botanical Tags thinlits to my stamp class ladies and Bronwyn’s Botanical Bridge and U-Fold card tutorial is perfect!

I did all the cutting and scoring prior to the class so it wouldn’t take too long.  I had a big class of 14 so I did do the big shot work as well.  That was a fun hour of my life!!

I used the lovely Share What You Love Specialty DSP and co-ordinating cardstock in Blackberry Bliss and Pear Pizzazz.

I like to make about 3 samples when the group is that large so that everyone can see how the card is meant to look.  I think it looks lovely with each paper!  I can’t decide which one is my favourite!

I also used my stamparatus to stamp the sentiments on each piece.  Gee, it is quickly becoming my favourite tool!  It makes life so much easier in a class as everyone gets a great result when stamping.

You can certainly add the stamparatus and the Botanical Bliss bundle to your starter kit when you take advantage of this month’s amazing special to become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  You can choose up to $235 worth of stamping products for only $169 and received 10 ink pads from a colour family of your choice worth $117.   That’s $352 worth of product for only $169.  If you would like to take advantage of this offer, click on the image.

It’s my lovely friend from Western Australia, Kelly Kent’s Birthday!!  She is having a couple of blog hops to celebrate and I’m so excited to be a part of it!

I’ve also used one of the fabulous tutorials by Bronwyn Eastley, which you can purchase here.  It’s the Tri-Fold Window Card which is such a wow card!

I used the Layered oval Framelits to cut out the centres of the card.  And have you noticed the colour of the cardstock!!  Yes, it’s Mint Macaron making a come back in the Colour Revamp!!  I love this colour and am so glad to be able to play with it again. Now when I created my card, I didn’t have the mint macaron ink pad so I just used a versa mark ink pad to create a tone on tone look.   Oh and check out the colour of my ink, it’s the new Grapefruit Grove!

And isn’t the Share What you Love Specialty DSP just beautiful!  There are 4 sheets of each of pattern of the DSP and many of them have a pearly finish to them.  So pretty!!

I also added half a pearlized doily and the new Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon.  Love velvet ribbons!

It’s a Panda Party!

I had a great Easter weekend at Stanthorpe celebrating my niece’s 18th birthday.  As I mentioned on a previous post, I made her cake.

amy-cake-b

It has four layers of red velvet cake with buttercream icing and a white chocolate ganache for the drip.  My lovely friend Emma from Acacia Grey Studio created the stunning topper for me.  Check out her Facebook page, here.

I’m getting ready to start my first shift as a volunteer at the Commonwealth Games today.  I’m excited but a bit nervous too!!

Addinktive Design team button - December 2017

I’ve had a bit of time to play in the craft room since I got back home on Sunday so I decided to have a go at Bronwyn Eastley’s super cute tutorial for the Party Panda, Double Pop Up, Gate Fold, Box card!  Check out her post about it here.

I didn’t have all the die and stamp sets needed to create this stunning card, but I was able to substitute from my stash!

add-12-a

I apparently don’t have any dies that have grass so I used the retired scissors that I still have.

This is such a cute card!  The tutorial is relatively easy to follow as long as you read each step as you go.

If you love this card as much as I do, you can purchase the tutorial here.

Can you guess the castle?

When Bronwyn released her latest tutorial yesterday, I knew straight away what I could make!!

Addinktive Design team button - December 2017

In November, I am heading to Orlando, Florida to attend the 30th Anniversary Stampin’ Up! Onstage event.  Flights and accommodation are booked so I can’t wait!!

Of course, one of the things I am most excited to be doing is to be going to Disneyworld!!  So my castle had to be the Cinderella Castle!!

As always, Bronwyn has created a clear and easy to follow tutorial, which you can purchase here.  After doing a search of what the Cinderella Castle looks like, I made a few tweaks to the design but it’s pretty close to the original.

Make sure you have a look at who is peaking through the windows!

I probably should have put some flags on the top but it’s been such a hot day, that my mojo had melted!!  I think I’ll add some next time I hit the craft room.

I’m really happy with how it turned out!!  And it’s only 248 days until I leave for Orlando!  Bring it on!!

Spring Planter

Well, it’s not Spring here at the moment, (in fact, this been a really hot, humid summer) but you can always appreciate pretty flowers!

I love Bronwyn’s Spring Planter Box Card with it’s pretty array of flowers.

Addinktive Design team button - December 2017

I decided to use the Wood Textures DSP stack for the planter box part.  I then used the Petals & More thinlits for the leaves.  I then used the May Flowers framelits and the matching Falling Flowers stamp set.  I used the Subtles collection cardstock to create a pretty bunch.  These colours look so lovely together.

add-10-c

add10a

I made a slight mistake in that I got stuck into attaching the flowers and then realised that I had used the bottom of the planter so the pieces to attach the flowers are lower down.  I had used fast fuse so there was no undoing!  That stuff sticks well!

This tutorial is great to follow, and so easy to understand.  Just click here to purchase it today.

These flowers are perfect for me as my pussy cats like to eat any flowers that come into the house!

I hope you like my planter box!  Please leave me a comment and let me know.
