I had a workshop recently and the hostess wanted to do a thank you card as she gives out plenty of them.
I found a card on Pinterest by Klompen Stampers, here, which was the inspiration for my card.
I have a couple of packets of the Typeset DSP, so I wanted to use some of that on my card. We stamped the flower from the Choose Happiness stamp set on the DSP in Rose Red and the leaf outline in Crumb Cake. I added a strip of gold glimmer paper down each side of the dsp for a bit of sparkle.
I stamped the sentiment from the Me = Grateful stamp set and cut it out using the new Lots of Labels framelits. I also cut out the next size framelit and did some paper piercing using the updated essentials piercing kit. Love that look!!
Here’s a close up of the paper piercing.
If you would like to host a workshop and make a cute card like this one, I’d love to have one with you!! Just contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can make a date!!
Stampin’ Up! Product List
I’ve had a busy couple of weeks and didn’t get a chance to join in with last week’s Case-ing the Catty challenge. I was still preparing for Saturday’s class on Friday night and having a bit of a blank, so I thought I would check out what my talented friend, Jess had made at The Paper Caper.
Her card is simply stunning!! She has cased a card from the Love and Sympathy section of the catalogue but put her own special “Jess” touch on it!! Click here to check out her card.
Now I’m not a fan of fussy cutting but there are some occasions where it is simply necessary. And how lovely does it look? Like Jess, I used the Timeless Love stamp set. Using my stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up, I stamped the flower twice with Staz-on ink. I then cut it out and started to colour using my aqua painter and Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Mint Maccaron and a little touch of So Saffron ink. I used the Circle of Spring stamp set for the sentiment in the middle.
Add a doily (love), some of the new Tip Top Taupe dotted ribbon, a strip of silver glimmer paper and a linen thread bow and it’s all done. Pretty, isn’t it!!
By the way, it’s not too late, you can still get 2 set of stamps for free when you purchase the starter kit!! This fabulous offer ends tomorrow evening, 30 June. Click here to join my team today!!
Stampin’ Up! Product List
I’m excited to share with you that I am a part of the Design Team of a new challenge blog called CASE-ing the Catty. You can check it out, here.
Every Friday, we will be sharing projects which we have cased (Copy and Share Everything) from the latest Stampin’ Up! catalogue. We will be working our way through the different sections of the catalogue, starting with Gift and Packaging.
There are so many great projects to choose from! I decided to case the cute Tag a Bag Gift box on the top left hand corner of page 14 of the Aussie catalogue.
I love these boxes!! They are easy to assemble and all you need to do is add a few bits and pieces and you’re done!! I haven’t bought much Designer Series Paper from the new catalogue yet but the first one I did get was Gold Soiree. Every sheet features Metallic Gold Ink!! Bring on the bling!!!
And what goes with gold dsp but gold sequins!! A paper doily and gold sequins is a match in heaven. I also tied it with some whisper white cotton ribbon.
And of course, I had to stamp my greeting (from Label Love) in gold ink. You know, you can never have too much gold!!
Let me know what you think!! and make sure you join in with the Challenge.
Check out what the rest of the team has created, here.
Where is the year going!!! It seems to be flying past already!!
We had stamp club on the weekend and I wanted to share a project using the gorgeous Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. I really love this DSP and wanted to show how it could be used in a non-christmassy way. I had not used all the shimmery paper in the pack (shock, horror, I know!!), so I decided to use that one as the background.
I was inspired by Dani Dziama, here. I loved her card, especially with the doily.
I gave the girls a sneaky peak at a new product being featured in the Sale-a-bration catalogue, the mini banner punch!! Is that not the cutest punch you’ve ever seen!! I am hopeless at making the ends of banners even so this is perfect for me.
Here’s a close up of the banner.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Winter Frost Specialty DSP, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Accessories: Paper Doilies, white baker’s twine, mini banner punch, modern label punch, word window punch, rhinestones.
If you are interested in finding out how you can earn the mini banner punch for free, please contact me at email@example.com or call me on 0408 193 792.
I’ve been seeing so many nice Christmas decorations on Pinterest that I’m starting to get the urge to put the Christmas Tree up!! In a week or so, I think!!
I found this gorgeous Christmas banner by Petite Fleur Paperie, here.
I thought it was just beautiful and wanted to make it myself.
I used the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit. I started off by sponging the edges of the banners with crumb cake ink and then stamping each one with En Francais stamp set. I then cut out the letters using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die in Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
To make the rosette’s, I used the Designer Rosette Bigz die and the Season of Style DSP. The rosette die makes it so easy to make an eye catching rosette!! I love the silver glimmer paper and it makes this banner just sparkle.
Seeing as I don’t have my decorations up yet, I had to photograph it by laying it on the floor and using the panorama feature of my iphone, so please excuse my dodgy photo of the full banner!!
Here are the individual banners.
Stamp Set: En Francais, Festive Flurry
Paper: Season of Style DSP, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer paper, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Frosted Finishes Embellishments, Festive Flurry Framelits, Build a Banner Simply Created Kit, Cherry Cobbler 1″ Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon, paper doilies, Designer Rosette Die
I hope you like my banner. Please leave a comment below and let me know!!

I want to share a gorgeous card that we did at last month’s stamp club. I wanted to show the girls the new Wildflower Meadow embossing folder and the matching Wildflower Meadow stamp set. I found this lovely card on Pinterest (is there any other place to look!!) by Rachel Tessman. I pretty much cased the whole card as I really liked it.
I also love the paper doilies. Are they not the best thing since sliced bread!! I also got to use my new oval framelits.
Here’s a close up of the details.
Stamp Set: Wildflower Meadow
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive markers
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Wildflower Meadow embossing folder, Delicate Designs embossing folder, Oval framelits, paper doilies, Scallop trim border punch, Daffodil Delight stitched grosgrain ribbon.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
This card features quite a number of my new favourites!!!
I was a little slow off the mark to embrace the paper doilies which were featured in the last seasonal catalogue. I liked them, I just kept forgetting to order them!! I finally got them and was so glad to see that they had carried over to the new catalogue.
I found this cute card on Pinterest by Becky Jensen, here.
I got to play with the new Simply Pressed Clay. It certainly doesn’t feel like clay! I made a batch of flowers one night watching the tv. So easy to do!! I just left them white as I wanted to try colouring them with markers. When colouring, make sure you touch them gently as they can mark easily.
One of the most exciting parts of this card is the washi tape!! So easy to use and it looks great. I love this stuff!!
I wanted to make a banner for the sentiment, so I trimmed the Thank you stamp in the Hello, Lovely set.
Stamp Set: Hello, Lovely
Ink: Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo
Paper: Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories: Big Shot, Delicate Designs embossing folder, Simply Pressed Clay, Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds, Gingham Garden Designer washi tape, Tea Lace Paper Doilies.
