12 October 2012 – I’m addicted!!

My name is Rebecca and I’m addicted to Pinterest!!!  I just love it!!  I’ve pinned so many cards to make.  I don’t think there is enough time to make everything I’ve pinned!!  But I have been inspired by them all.  Here is a card from a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from Germany, Judith Laureano.  I changed a couple of details as I used the Adorning Accents edgelit for the scallops and  the Decorative label punch for the sentiment.

I really love the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  It is very noice!!!

Tell me what you think!

10 October 2012 – I love Ornaments!

I am really loving the ornament which is on the front of the Holiday Catalogue.  I’ve seen a couple of different colour combinations and they look fabulous!  I thought I would give it a try using Designer Series Paper rather than stamping each petal and then cutting out.  It certainly made it a bit faster to make, although I had a few challenges with sticky fingers and the tombow glue!  I’m really happy with the end result.  Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment.

If you would like to make this or any of the other gorgeous ornaments featured in the Holiday catalogue, contact me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au or 0408 193 792 to host a party.

30 September 2012 – The ultimate Christmas ornament is here!!!

It was only a matter of time before I made one of the gorgeous ornaments featured on the front of the Holiday Catalogue.  There are lots of tutorials available to show you how to make this gorgeous decoration.  I used one by Linda Heller, which is really easy to follow.

I think I will be doing a separate class to make one of these as they are fairly time consuming to make.  I think they would look pretty in other colours as well.

And here’s the back.

18 May 2012 – May Stamp Club – No. 2

Here’s the 2nd card that we will be making on Saturday.  I cased this one from here.  Isn’t it lovely!!  and not as hard as it looks.  I coloured the pearls with the Poppy Parade marker.  Slightly messy but might work better if I had stuck them onto the card first.  We’ll do that on Saturday, so that we don’t need up with red fingers like I did yesterday!

18 January 2012 – Spice Cake

No, I’m not cooking a spice cake today, but I am in love with the Spice Cake DSP in the latest mini catalogue!! The pictures really don’t do it justice.

I’m attempting to be more organised this year and actually send out more birthday cards this year.  To this end, I’ve been thinking about a birthday card folder where I can get the cards ready at the start of the month, including addressed, stamped and written in and then just be able to whip the card out a week before and post it off.

I’ve had lots of cardboard used as stiftening for projects so I thought it would make a good base for the folder.  I was going to use a different DSP for each month but I fell in love with Spice Cake so the whole book will be the same paper.  I’m also using the matching stamp set, Spiced Paisley.

Of course, my photo really doesn’t do it justice but you get the idea.  I’ve usedthe Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlits for the title and the very glittery Silver glimmer paper.  There’s also the new velvet ribbon for the border and flowers.

Here’s close up of each page.  Special birthday’s are indicated by a rhinestone.
