6 August 2011 – ESAD Retiring List Blog Hop!!

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators.  We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

30 April 2011

I’ve had a busy couple of weeks since I last posted!!  I’ve been so busy crafting and getting my swaps ready for convention, that I forgot to post on my blog!!  Woops!!!

I don’t want to post photos of my swaps yet (don’t want to spoil the surprise) although they are just about finished.  I’ve already posted 80 down to Melbourne, cos they were too big to take as luggage but I’m working on another 20 to share with my team, Eureka Stampers.  I’ll be finishing them during the Royal Wedding, fun fun!!!

Here is a card that I made recently from a tutorial that I purchased from Julia Leece, a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  Here’s a link to her blog.  It’s a stepper card using the top note die for the Big Shot. I did make a slight booboo but I know where I went wrong (I’m just too lazy to take another picture of the good one!!)

Stamp Set:  Strength & Hope, Bring on the Cake

Ink:  Rose Red

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Rose Red

Accessories:  Big Shot, Top Note Die, Decorative Label Punch, Hodgepodge Hardware, Chantilly crochet ribbon.

Enjoy!!

21 March 2011

I’ve been trying to post more regularly but sometimes life just gets in the way!!!  Never mind, here’s a card that I have made as part of a swap with my team, Eureka Stampers.  One of the great benefits about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is being a part of a team and learning and sharing with fellow demonstrators.  One of the ways we do this, is by swapping cards.  You make, say 6 card fronts, and then post them to 5 demonstrators, keeping one for yourself.  Then you end up with 6 gorgeous card fronts to get inspiration from!!!

If you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator, and enjoying the wonderful benefits, please contact me.  If you join prior to the end of March (and Sale-a-bration), you will be able to choose another stamp set from the main catalogue as part of your starter kit for free!!  How great is that!!!

This month’s theme for our swap is Male cards which I always find a bit of a challenge.  I’m currently getting “happy” mail every day and it’s great to see different ideas!!.  Here’s my card.  I used a sketch from Utah Divas International for inspiration.

Stamp Sets:  Word Play, Hodgepodge Hardware

Ink:  Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand

Paper:  Blueberry Crisp DSP, Not Quite Navy, Pacific Point, Sahara Sand

Accessories:  1 3/4″ circle punch, Bitty Buttons

Here’s all my swaps!!!  I don’t enjoy making lots of the same card but I can do 10!!

27 January 2011

I thought I would start the day by making a card using a new Sale-a-bration stamp set but it was just too hot in my craft room to be inspired so I have given in and put the air conditioning on and relocated to the kitchen!!  So here I am, updating my blog instead of crafting!!!

I made a card earlier in the week, using a technique that I learnt from Paper Crafter’s Library called Ruched Ribbon.  It’s done without using any cotton, just sticky strip.  I love the effect!!!

Stamp Sets:  Hodgepodge Happiness

Paper:  Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack,

Ink:  Rich Razzleberry

Accessories:  Big Shot, Top Note Die, Polka Dots embossing folder, hodgepodge hardware, Designer label punch, Rich Razzleberry satin ribbon, Basic rhinestones, Itty Bitty Shapes punch

24 January 2011 – First Post, finally!!

My goal this year is to post at least once a week.  I know, it’s a bit of a challenge!!

So here is a long one to start the week off.

One of my customers (hi Lynn) is moving and I wanted to give her a little gift to show my appreciation.  I got the Milk carton die for Christmas and I have been dying to use it.  They are the cutest little milk cartons that you have ever seen.  They are a bit smaller than I first thought but what they lack in size, they make up for in cuteness!!!

I found an example of a milk carton made into a bird house and I fell in love!!  I just had to make one.  I used a piece of actetate behind the hole, so that the surprise inside didn’t fall out.

Paper:  Marina Mist, Elegant Soiree DSP, Acetate

Accessories:  Big Shot, Milk Carton Die, bird punch, 1″ circle punch, sticky strip, scalloped edge punch

I also made a card for Lynn, using the Word Play set.  I love the words in this set, espeically the size.  I also used the Colour Coach for the combination – Marina Mist, Crumb Cake and Cajin Craze.

Stamp Set:  Word Play

Paper:  Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze

Ink:  Cajun Craze

Accessories – Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon, Brad from Hodgepodge Hardware, Elegant Lines Embossing folder, Big Shot

I’ve got another post plannned for this week, so keep an eye out.  Until then, have a great week!!
