I hope you are having a great week! I’ve been working at Community Recovery helping people apply for grants for those who have been affected by the flooding in South East Queensland. So glad to be able to offer at least a bit of help to those who need it. Another week to go then back to normal.

This week, we are casing the animal cards from any of our great catalogues.

It is surprising how many cards feature animals when you are flipping through the catalogues. I decided to case a card from the January – June 2022 Mini Catalogue on page 75 that features the squirrel.

It’s my niece’s birthday this week, so I wanted to create a card for her using the Brave Vikings stamp set. This is such a cute, fun set!!

For the background paper, I used a piece of the SAB Simply Marbleous DSP in So Saffron and cut out a circle using the Circle dies.

I stamped the girl viking in Mememto black and coloured her using a number of blends, including the new skin coloured blends. I stamped the sentiment in versamark and embossed in white embossing powder on a piece on Misty Moonlight. I added a strip of ribbon under the sentiment, like the original.

Happy Birthday, dear Amy!! I hope she loves her card!
