CTC329 – Caseing the Mini Cover

Well hasn’t it been an interesting week!! Us Queenslanders are now taking our turn for lockdown. I’m all set for working at home tomorrow. Have to say, I’m looking forward to the commute!!

But it’s time to start getting ready for the July-December Mini Catalogue to start on Tuesday 3 August!! We are casing the cover of the catalogue for our hop tonight.

Now there isn’t a lot to case on this image but you’d be surprised by what the Crew has created!! They are a talented bunch!!

My card took a few interesting turns!! I wanted to have a play with the Words of Cheer bundle and use the words to replace the ribbon but the words are a tight fit if you want to do a landscape card on Australian card sizes. I wanted to have an embossed background and for my first card I used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I cut out the centre of the card using the tag die from the Stockings dies. I used Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade for Cheers and Blushing Bride for the background. The floral piece is from the Words of Cheer stamp set and I coloured using blends. I added some Wink of Stella over the flowers. There may have been an incident with Stella so I had to cut out another flower and added it over the spot!

I’m not a lover of non-traditional colours so I thought I would have a play with Shaded Spruce and Real Red. I used the Wintry 3d embossing folder.

It was fun playing with this bundle, although it took me ages to create both of these cards!!

Next up is the lovely Tina.

We would love for you to join in with us so please share your creation on our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping
