CTC302 – Casing flowers

Can you believe that we are nearly at the end of January and my birthday!!

This week we are casing the flowers of the catalogues.

There are so many gorgeous floral stamp sets in both of the catalogues so it’s hard to choose which card to case. I decided to case a card on page 31 which features the Pretty Perennials bundle. I do love this set and I think it’s going to be on my next order. I recevied the Touch of Ink stamp set during our Stampin’ Up! Onstage event in November (Hello, prize patrol!!) but you can also get it for free as it is a Sale-a-bration stamp set. You just have to spend $90 on products first which isn’t hard to do with our fabulous new January-June Mini Catalogue.

I kept to the same colour theme with Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. I did use Basic Gray for the Hummingbird and flowers to provide an outline. My craft ladies will be glad to know that we might not do this card at our next class as I had to fussy cut all the pieces out (for some reason, they don’t enjoy fussy cutting!!)

I embossed the main piece using my favourite embossing folder, the Subtles folder and cut out the middle using the Tasteful labels dies. The sentiment is from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set and I’m sending it off to my sister as she has had to unexpectedly spend some time in hospital.

Next up is the lovely Sandra.

We would love to see your creation casing the Floral projects from either the Mini Catalogue or the Annual Catalogue so please join in at our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping

  1. I have to confess to also winning this set and not inking it up yet! I like how you’ve stamped in grey for subtlety and then used bolder colours – very effective. Hope your sister is on the mend and bet this card made her day 🙂

  2. Love the sentiment for a get well card!! Gorgeous layout, and it’s really time I used my stamp set – you’ve inspired me!! Love what you’ve done here!!
