CTC264 – Week 2 – It’s a twisty week

It’s been an exciting week as I decided that I’m going to New Orleans to attend Backstage which is a Stampin’ Up! leadership event being held in August!! I’ve booked my flights and found a roomie, so I’m pretty much all set!! So excited to go!!

So it’s week 2 of our challenge which is Case a mini catalogue card and give it a male twist.

I made it further through the catalogue this week and stopped at page 20 for my inspiration and the card on the bottom left.

One of my colleagues is moving to a new job shortly, so I decided to make him a card now, rather than the last minute which always happens!

I started with The Gang’s All Meer stamp set and turned the card on it’s side. I stamped the group stamp onto a piece of thick whisper white using the saddle brown staz on. I cut them out with the Stitched So Sweetly dies and coloured the Meerkats using the light crumb cake and soft suede blends.

I embossed the Merry Merlot cardstock with the Coastal Weave embossing folder.

I embossed the sentiment (from the On to Adventure stamp set) in white and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangle dies. I added a piece of Copper trim which I stretched out.

Now if you like the Gang’s All Meer stamp set, it’s only available until the end of March as it is a free Sale-a-bration item. So you only need to spend $90 in catalogue products to be able to choose a freebie!

Next up is the lovely Lauren.

We would love to see your creations, so please share them over on at our Facebook page.

Happy Stamping

  1. What a great card for a work colleague. And the meerkats are just perfect! Love your colouring! And the textured background.
