CTC235 – Casing a layout

Welcome to another fun week of Caseing the Catty. We are casing the layout on page 159.

Did you know about Stampin’ Up!’s angel policy? If you sell your cards, you need to make sure they include one of the Stampin’ Up! copyright stamps. The Crafting Forever stamp set on page 159 does include this stamp.

It’s fun to see how each of the Crew members have interpreted this layout different! I have just received the Fable Friends stamp set and I had to use it straight away.

I turned the layout onto it’s side and selected a DSP for the background. I went with the Garden Lane DSP. I then cut out a Stitched Rectangle and stamped the little row of ducks in Memento Black. I stamped Mama duck on a separate piece of thick whisper white cardstock and fussy cut her out. I then coloured them all with blends. I used So Saffron, Seaside Spray, Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose and Crumb Cake. I stamped the grass and sentiment in Pear Pizzazz.

This is such a cute stamp set and I love it!!

Next up is my lovely friend, Rose.

We would love see your case of this layout so make sure you sure your creation at our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping

  1. Super cute card with beautiful colouring, Bec. I love the way you’ve turned the layout on its side. I love these ducks too, I’m so glad they carried over into the new catty. ๐Ÿ™‚ Siobhan.

  2. Love your colouring Bec! And the Mumma duck fussy cut over the top of the stitched rectangle is a great idea!! Perfectly adorable.

  3. Glad to see I wasnโ€™t the only one who turned the layout on its side! These duckies are so cute! Beautiful card. Iโ€™ve only just recently acquired this set too. I might have to ink it up soon now that Iโ€™ve seen your card.

  4. OH that’s just the sweetest. Lovely colouring Bec, and a nice twist with the layout rotated. I can see you are going to have fun with that set!!
