CTC232 – Artistic Expressions

Welcome to the first challenge of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue!! Have you placed your order yet? Mine should be arriving tomorrow!!

For our first challenge, we are casing the Artistic Expressions section, pages 106-159.

I was inspired by the card on page 131 which features some no line colouring.

So I used the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and attempted to create flowers using the flower image in the set. As you may notice from my card below, I was not happy with how they turned out! I think I need to practise this technique a bit more before I publicly share it.

I am rather taken with the Garden Lane DSP and I think it makes for perfect backgrounds. I added a sentiment from the Beautiful Promenade set and cut it out in Flirty Flamingo with the Stitched Labels dies. I added a piece of the new Petal Pink Organdy Striped ribbon as well. It’s so pretty!!

Tell me which is your favourite new DSP? It’s a bit hard to choose just one!

Next up is my lovely friend, Liz.

We would love to see what has inspired you in the Artistic Expressions section so add your creation to our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping

  1. I wish you had shared your attempt, now I am super curious! I do love how the stunning new DSPs make it so easy to just feature them on the front of a card.

  2. Much to my frustration, I’m yet to master no line watercolouring too 😦 We’ll get it one day! In the meantime, you’ve made a fabulous card. I wasn’t keen on that DSP, but I really like the pattern you’ve chosen.
