CTC217 – Happiness Blooms

Welcome to another week of Caseing the Catty! I am doing a month of shift work and it gives me more time to play in the craft room!! #happyplace

This week, we are casing the Happiness Blooms section, pages 24-33 of the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.

I decided to case two cards this week, cos I had the time to do so! For my first card, I pretty much cased it the same. I choose the card on page 30 which uses the His Grace stamp set.

When you look closely at this card, there are so many gorgeous details. I used a piece of DSP from the Tranquil Textures DSP as the background and stamped the flowers twice from the His Grace stamp set directly on it. I then coloured them with Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry blends. I then fussy cut the inside of the flowers from the DSP.

I used the Florentine thinlits die in Whisper White and attached it behind the DSP. I cut out a Stitched Oval and stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry. I cut out the cross from the Cross of Hope framelits and fussy cut the bird. I added some of the Flax ribbon behind the sentiment and assembled the pieces onto the top of the card. I even did the inside of the card but I did it after I took the photo, so you’ll just have to take my word for it!

For my second card, I cased the top card on page 26 which uses the Happiness Blooms memories and more card pack.

I’ve just received the Well Said bundle which I love and I wanted to use it straight away. I decided to create my own background using the new Sale-a-bration Painted Seasons stamp set. I used Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch as the colours for my card. I cut out a circle and then the two words Happy and Birthday from the Well Written framelits. I tied a bow in Pineapple punch grosgrain ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed my two cards. Next up is the lovely Judy.

We would love to see your creation so make sure you join in with us at our Facebook group.
