What a crazy week it has been weather wise in Australia!  From flooding up the top to fires down the bottom and extreme heat in between!  I hope you have been able to keep safe.

This week at CTC we are back casing the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

As you may know, all the items in the Sale-a-bration catalogue are free!! YAY!!  You can select from these items when you spend $90 or more in my online store (here) or buy contacting me directly to place your order.

I decided to case the card from page 10 which features the By the Bay stamp set.  This type of set is not really my style but I liked the layout of this card with the frames.

I think the stitched rectangle framelits are quickly becoming my favourites!  I cut out a frame using the Wood Textures DSP (I’ll be sad when it retires as it’s so handy) and a piece of whisper white.  I sponged it with a sponge brayer in Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue.

As a cat lover, I wanted to use the new Nine Lives stamp set and the matching Cat punch.  And it’s my 18th wedding anniversary today, so it’s the card for my husband.  We have two spoilt kitties, Shadow (who is black) and Jaster (my grey boy).  I had a few goes at stamping and colouring a black cat but I settled with using the black blends.  It’s not just hard to photograph a black cat, but it’s hard to colour one as well!

I stamped the grey kitty in Gray Granite and coloured gently with my aqua painter.  I also stamped some blades of grass from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.

I then created a little banner for the sentiment which is also from the Nine Lives stamp set.
