CI25

Welcome back to a new year!  It’s been a while since I joined in with a Colour Inkspiration Hop but I’m determined to join in more regularly this year.

We are starting off with a lovely colour combo of Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White.

CI25Now I have to confess that of the current in colours, Lemon Lime Twist was definitely not one of my favourites.  But I think I have actually used it the most!!  It just seems like a colour that goes with many others.

I’m trying to do more simple, easy to re-create cards this year, so that was where I started out.  I also wanted to play with the Petal Palette stamp set which is so lovely!

I inked the flowers in Night of Navy and added a Lemon Lime Twist branch as well.  I didn’t like how you could see the branch so I decided to ink the stamp on a separate piece of cardstock and fussy cut it out.  I then used my aqua painter to fill in the leaves and flowers.  (Yes I know roses don’t come in blue, but it’s my favourite colour, so why not!)  I also put Wink of Stella over the flowers.

I then added a strip of ribbon and a bow using the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon.  The sentiment is also from the Petal Palette stamp set.

I love how clean this card looks!

Next up is the lovely Julia.
