Can you believe that we are in the middle of September? Spring is coming quickly to Queensland this year!
We have another great colour combination this week at Colour Inkspiration. We are using Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo.
I wanted to play with the Quilt Builder framelits for this card. This is the first time I’ve used these framelits and they are great! It took me a little bit of playing to work out what goes together in terms of the stamps and the framelits but I love them!!
After many times through the big shot, I cut out all the bits I needed and then pieced them together. It took almost as long as creating a fabric quilt square!
I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Quilt stamp set which matches the framelits. Of course, you can purchase these as a bundle and save 10%. I love that this set has a non-Christmas sentiment so you can continue to use it after Christmas.
Of course I had to use the matching Quilt Top embossing folder. Now, I know that you are supposed to “quilt” the square but I liked it just sitting on top instead. (Also, I didn’t want to make it again if it didn’t look nice!!).
I’m really pleased with how this turned out!! I’ll be making lots of quilts now!
Next up on the hop is my friend and stamping sister, the lovely Mel Pagano.
Don’t forget you can share your projects using this colour combo on our facebook group. You can join in here.
Happy Stamping

Gorgeous card, Rebecca. I love how vibrant and striking the quilt panel colours are against the lovely embossed white background. Fabulous CAS design, adore this bundle in non traditional colours – looks so clean and fresh.

Wow, all that piecework is amazing and doesn’t it show off the colours to perfection. Just adorable.
