CTC142 – Love & Sympathy

We’ve had another try of winter today, but I think it might a last blast of the season!  At least I hope so!

We are back casing the Love and Sympathy section of the 2017 -2018 Annual Catalogue, pages 86-101.

This time, I decided to case the card on the left on page 97 featuring the Ribbon of Courage bundle.

I wanted to do a different colour combination so I went to My Create Ink to suggest a combo for me.  I went with Berry Burst, Pear Pizzazz and Powder Pink.

I did a wash of Berry Burst for the background.  I then used Berry Burst for the sentiment which comes from the Ribbon of Courage set.  I then cut out lots of flowers and leaves using Flourish thinlits.  I didn’t actually use them all but I had them just in case.

I also used the Pear Pizzazz Shimmer ribbon which is so pretty.  I added a few pearls to cover the centres of the flowers.

Next up is my lovely friend, Julia!  You’ll love what she has created for us.

Come and join in with us and share your projects of the Love and Sympathy section of the catalogue at our Facebook Group here.

Happy Stamping

  1. Great minds inspired alike this week Rebecca! I love the colour combo you have used, it really pops. The extra little flowers are cute too.

  2. Wow! your colour choices make your card so much more striking than the original. Your card is so so beautiful. I love it all. I love the clusters of flowers. I love the colours. I love the ribbon. I love the greeting.

  3. Bec you make such lovely cards using that set. This one is another beautiful creation. I do really like the pink wash background too, it makes it such a fresh and feminine looking card.
