It’s hard to believe that we are at the end of June! Where is the year going? I have to say that I am really enjoying doing the Colour Challenges with Colour Inkspiration. I am “challenged” nearly every time but I love pushing myself and stepping outside the traditional boundaries that I set for myself.
Speaking of challenges, here is another one! You can choose at least 4 of these colours – Whisper White, Night of Navy, Elegant Eggplant, Cherry Cobbler, Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate and Peekaboo Peach.
I had a couple of attempts with my card for this challenge. I didn’t like them so you don’t get to see them! I wanted to use the Jar of Love stamp set so I went back to the drawing board and started with a white base. I then stamped the jars in Smoky Slate. I actually wanted to use the flowers in the stamp set but I discovered that there isn’t a green in our colours so I couldn’t work out how to do the stems! Then I realised that there is a fish stamp with a matching framelit so hello fishies!!
I’m not sure what sort of fish they are, but mine are Cherry Cobbler, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach!
There’s a cute sentiment in the stamp set, Best Fishes, so this will be my brother-in-law’s birthday card as he is a wanna-be fisherman. I wasn’t sure what to do with the sentiment but felt the card needed something at the top as well. I decided to stamp the sentiment in Smoky Slate then stamp it another two more times before inking up again.
Now all I have to do is remember that I have made his card by the time his birthday comes around in September!!
Next up is the amazing Denita Wright-Smee.
Don’t forget that you can share your projects using this combo on our Facebook group.
Happy Stamping

Great idea using the Jar of love for this colour challenge
A very creative use of the colours.
Hehe, ‘wannabe fisherman’ – I know a few of those! Perfect card Bec! Don’t forget where that safe spot is! Kelly x
oh this is a very clever use of the colours!! And those fish are awesome!! And isn’t it great to be prepared ahead of time!! I know I’ve done that, and then forgotten later and made another card, only to find the original later on!! teehee
Oh man Rebecca what a perfect use of the colours – fish! So clever … and they are adorable!
Quite an amusing idea you had there, but why not? If they’re Siamese fighting fish at least they’re in separate jars.
Love the grouping of jars and def. Siamese fighting fish. Love the new look of your blog too!
Perfect card for a wanna be fisherman Rebecca.
Very cute Bec. I love the idea of uses the fishes for this challenge! They look like siamese fighting fish 🙂
Cute little fishes x I am sure your bro in law will think this is great! X
