It’s so exciting!! My new catalogue order arrived this week!! I petted, patted and drooled over it. But did I stamp with it? Nope!! I’ve had a busy couple of days and I’m working this weekend, so I’ll be playing next week. Can’t wait!!
We are casing the Birthday section of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue, pages 68-85.
Once again, there are so many amazing cards to case in this section. I realised that I haven’t used the Sweet Cupcake stamp set for ages, but I liked the sample on the page 85.
I decided to create the base layer on a separate piece of card so that if there was a mistake, I wasn’t wasting the whole card. I started with the Happy Birthday stamp from the Sweet Cupcake set using Tranquil Tide. I accidently had them a bit too far apart. When I looked at the stamp set, it has a very handy belated stamp! I stamped in it Powder Pink.
I stamped the cake base and the bottom layer of icing in Powder Pink. I then did the top layer of icing in Berry Burst. I also added some Clear Stella. You always need sparkle on a cake!! hehe!!
I used the Layered circle framelits for the base and the Birthday banner stamp set and matching Bunch of Banners framelits.
Actually I did use one of my new products!! You’ll never guess, cos you can’t see it!! I got the new mini dimensionals!!! They are too cute!!
I also added some thick white twine. I’m rather happy with the end result!! Now who’s birthday did I miss!
Next up on the hop is the lovely Julia.
Don’t forget to pop over to our Facebook group where you can join in with the challenge. And if you are an Australian or New Zealand demonstrator, we are looking for more Crew members. Just participate in June’s challenges and we will consider you.
Happy Caseing!

Thanks for the tip! I wouldn’t have thought to stamp on a single card piece, I would have risked loosing the lot. AND, love that you added belated to fill in the gaps. Looks fantastic!!
beautiful card Bec. I love your background stamping- especially how the “belated” doesn’t stand out (we none of us like to point that out!- even though I usually am late with family). That cup cake is just so sweet in those colours
Love it! That background stamping is so perfect! Mine would have been so wonky!!! Such lovely colour choices! Kelly x
Oh how super clever Rebecca – I may just have to CASE this fantastic idea 🙂
I love the background especially your color choices. Great layout!
Thanks, Michele!
Now that is one cool CASE. Love your project, Bec.
Oh, a fab CASE Rebecca! Great tip stamping on a separate layer rather than the card front itself. I’m prone to a smudge or two myself so will remember this for next time! Love the shine of the cupcake – just like frosting!
I love the addition of the ‘belated’ – it totally works so well!! Great card and I love the colours you’ve chosen too.
