CTC118 – Cool Treats

ctc_header

I can’t believe that we are in March already!  But yay for Autumn!!  Although I wish it would start to get a bit cooler.

Here we are with another Caseing the Catty challenge.  We are casing the Cool Treats section of the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.  This section is huge from pages 32-45.

I don’t have the Cool treats set, although I do have the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP which is sooo cute!  I decided to case the blue card on the right with the lace on the sides.

I love this layout.  I used the Suite Sentiments stamp set for my sentiment and the Balloon from the Up and Away thinlits cut out from the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP.   I sponged the background in pool party.  I did use watermelon wonder but my photo has come out a bit red than I intended!  I also used some Stella on the balloon for some extra sparkle!  (You know I love my sparkle!!)

There were so many lovely cards in this section that I had to do another one as well.  I cased the card on page 41.

I love a shaker card but I decided not to do that part on this card.  I wanted to try a different colour combo (although now that I look at the original, it doesn’t look much different!) so I went to My Create Ink for suggestions.

It came up with Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, So Saffron and Blushing Bride. Once I had the colours, I felt it said baby card to me.

Don’t you just love the debossed look?  I love it and it looks fab with the stamping over the top.

Next up on the hop is Judy May.  Can’t wait to see what she has created!

  1. Two great cards, Rebecca. Great idea for the background behind your balloon. I like the soft colour combo for the baby card too.
