I’m excited that it’s the first challenge of the Colour INKspiration tonight!! We are a group of Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that love to create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Our first challenge is to use at least 3 of the following colours, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Mint Maccaron, Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach and Blushing Bride.
These colours remind me of birthday parties. So I decided to use the new Balloon Adventures stamp set and the co-ordinating Balloon Pop-Up thinlits. I love to make shaker cards so birthdays are perfect!
I stamped the confetti on the base of the card stock and then created the shaker using the thinlits. I punched out the sprinkles for the inside of the shaker using the Sprinkles punch. I did pick out the large pieces as I didn’t want it to be too chunky. I also put a strip of foam adhesive strips underneath the party on sentiment so that all the sprinkles wouldn’t end up down the bottom.
Next on the hop is my lovely friend, Rose Packer.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Members of the group have the option to join the Colour INKspiration ‘Challenge’ by uploading photos of their projects and can link back to their personal blog if they wish to. Make sure you click on the link below and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too.
Hope to see you there!
Happy Stamping
