Sunday’s just come around so quickly, don’t they!! I’ve been doing some shift work for a few weeks and had my first night shift in 18 months last night. Fortunately, I’m doing this post early so hopefully it will make some sense!!
We are back casing the Artistic Expressions section in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue from pages 92-157. There are so many amazing samples to choose from in this section!!
I love the cards in the Irresistibly Floral Suite on page 126 (See the pic above). I love the colours and the flowers, although I haven’t actually bought this set yet. It’s on the list!! I decided to case the card on the top left and the gift bag on the bottom left. As I don’t have the set, I used the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the matching Flourish thinlits instead. The Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP is simply gorgeous. You can sponge it or colour it however you like, or even leave it white, either way it’s a winner!!
I decided to turn the bag into a card and change the orientation of the layout. The Ruched Ribbon in Flirty Flamingo is sooo lovely!! I also added some pearls as you always need bling.
For my second card, I sponged the dsp with 3 colours, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Pool Party. Next time, I think I will use a lighter hand as it’s very bright.
I love the Flourish thinlits to create the flowers, I think I should use them more often.
Next on the hop is my lovely friend, Tricia.
If you would like to join in with us, just create a project using one of the sections we are casing this month, and add your link in.
Happy Stamping
