My lovely friend Brownyn Eastley is starting a new challenge on her blog, addINKtive Designs, and I thought I might give it a try!!
I thought this was going to be easy but it took a little while to come up with a card. I decided to go nice and simple and create a baby card using the cute little bird from the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set (which you can get for free during Sale-a-bration). I stamped the bird on a scrap piece of thick whisper white cardstock, which works nicely with a little bit of watercolouring, and cut him out. I then used the new honeycomb embellishments and spritz a white one with So Saffron. I may have looked like I had a jaundice hand for the rest of the day!!
I just love the seam binding ribbons and I had picked up the Early Espresso one in the Year End sale in December so I thought it would make a great base for my little bird to sit on.
For my sentiment, I used a label from the Project Life Cards & Labels framelits and tucked in under the bird. I also punched a tiny heart from the Confetti Stars border punch.
Here’s a close up.
Now to wait for a little baby to arrive so I can send them this card!!
Don’t forget with every purchase of $90, you can earn products for free, like the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set I used on this card!!
Happy Stamping

awwwww little cutie!!! Adorable!
Thanks!!
What a cute card, Rebecca. Love the chick’s honeycomb belly and the gathered seam binding. Using the challenge colours for a baby card surprised me (in a good way) and you have shown just how versatile that SAB set can be especially teamed up with the sentiment you chose. Thanks for playing along with the very first challenge. Hope to see you back again. Your free tutorial is on its way!
Oh, thanks! I love your 3D cards!
