Happy New Year and Welcome to 2016

I can’t believe that we are in 2016 and I’m going to New York THIS YEAR!!!! Bring on September/October!!

In only 2 days time, the 2016 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration will be starting. Do you have your copy of the catalogue yet? If you would like one, let me know and I’ll send one out to you. Contact me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au or 0408 193 792.

There are so many great new products and projects in both of these catalogues. One of my favourites is the Rose Wonder stamp set and the matching Rose Garden thinlits. Both of these are stunning!!!

I really love the Birthday Bouquet DSP but am having trouble cutting into it!! So I made my own background using an aqua painter and blushing bride ink.

I used the thick Whisper White cardstock to stamp my flower and then I coloured it with my aqua painter and old olive for the leaves and blushing bridge for the flower. Doesn’t it look amazing? I was so impressed with how it turned out. Made me feel like I could paint!!

I was going to put the rose thinlit over the top of my coloured flower but it was looking so pretty that I left it on it’s own.

I also added clear Wink of Stella on the petals of the rose for a bit of sparkle. For the sentiment, I used the happy birthday from the Rose Wonder stamp set and the banner from the framelits. Love it when you can use the one set for an entire card!!

As I had already cut out the outline rose from the framelits, I decided to add it to a piece of the Perfectly Artistic DSP which you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration. I used Stella on the inside of the flower for added bling. Again I used the Thank You stamp from Rose Wonder and stamped it onto a banner cut with the Banner Triple Punch.

Sale-a-bration goes from 5 January to 31 March 2016 and you can earn products for free during this time. Everytime you spend $90 in one go, you can choose an item from the SAB catalogue for free!! And if you host a workshop and your sales are over $400, you get an extra $40 in Stampin’ Rewards to spend on whatever you like. Sounds great, doesn’t it!! But wait, there’s more!! You can also purchase the starter kit and receive an additional $60 worth more of product in your kit. That’s a total of $295 of products for only $169! Wow that’s amazing!! If you would like more information about Sale-a-bration, let me know, I’d love to help you. Contact me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au or 0408 193 792.

Happy New Year!!

  1. Hi Bec, I am pondering the catalogue not sure what I really want!! One question, on pinterest a pin can up “how to more easily cut thinlit dies, American of course but it used “dryer paper” seemed to be in a box at the Dollar shp and wax paper which to me looks more like our baking paper not the old fashioned wax paper that used to be used to wrap sandwiches in!! do you have any clues?? the wax paper went on top of the die too. • Hi Barbara, it is referring to Dryer sheets which you can find in the laundry section of Woolies. I don’t mind it but Stampin’ Up! have actually brought a new product out called the Die Brush which makes it easier to cut thinlits. If you are able to come to Stamp Club on January 16, I can show you the dryer sheets and the die brush. Rebecca
