Well, here you are back at me again!! It’s our last week at Caseing the Catty for the year and we are caseing each other this week!! I’m caseing my talented friend, and new Artisan Design Team member, Jessica at The Paper Caper.
Jess has so many lovely projects that she has done during her time at CTC that it was a bit hard to choose. I decided to case a box that she had made showcasing the hostess set, A Whole Lot of Lovely. You can see her original post here.
Isn’t it pretty? I decided to use the English Garden DSP for the background of the box. Isn’t it lovely? I haven’t used it a lot but I do love it. (Note to self to use more often). It’s so easy to create a box using the gift box punch board. A few scores and quick folds and your project is almost done.
I added some striped gold vellum like Jess, then added a strip of Vanilla ribbon and some blushing bride sequins. I managed to find some filter sheets and created my flower using the Floral Frames Collection framelits. I even spritzed them with some blushing bride ink and isocol and helped the drying process along with my heat gun. To make the flower fit on the box, I scrunched the middle and quickly added some dimensionals to the back of the circle and stuck them together.
And voila, a box is made!!
I hope you have enjoyed my box this week. Next on the hop is my lovely friend, Jessica who is caseing Tricia this week.
Happy Hopping
Stampin’ Up! Product List
So so pretty!! This DSP is gorgeous, and the box is so feminine and light. What a lovely project!
Love your CASE Rebecca – I’m not usually drawn to florals DSP – but you’ve made me put this one on my Must-Have list! Merry Christmas!
Oooh, so pretty! Love the soft, girly look you have achieved with the pretty paper & trims. The fluffy, filter paper flower looks amazing. Merry Christmas!
Love the soft colours of your box, someone is really lucky to receive a gift in that packaging. I have loved joining the Crew this year and are always inspired.
I think Jess’ gift box was one of my favourite projects this year from the CTC crew. It is stunning and yours is no different! The beautiful DSP works so well with the lovely filter sheets. Gorgeous!!
Oh Bec, I think your floral box is quite simply “a whole lot of lovely”! From the spritzing & the sequins, it is certainly a gorgeous CASE of Jess’ equally lovely project.
How lovely, the 2 boxes have quite a different look with the different paper and colours. I love them both, and I can imagine you would have had a hard time picking what to CASE as all Jess’s projects are special. Love those pink sequins! Have a restful break over Christmas, looking forward to another fab year of creating!
Thanks Liz! It certainly wasn’t easy!
This box is stunning Rebecca! What a great choice of Jess’ projects to CASE. SO versatile and simple beautiful. I do really love your soft vintagey take on the idea. Merry Chrismas, Emma xo
Oh thanks so much!!
