CTC45 – It’s a whole lot of lovely going on

At CASE-ing the Catty this week, we are sharing projects inspired by the Hostess section of the catalogue. There are 5 lovely exclusive hostess stamp sets which you can only earn if you host a workshop.

I just love the A Whole lot of Lovely stamp set. It’s probably my favourite of the 5 sets, although closely followed by the Floral Wings set as well. Seeing as there was only 1 sample in the catalogue, I decided to case another card from the Catalogue from page 109.

Now I will admit, it’s rather loosely based on this card!!.

So to get started, I decided to crack open my 2014-2016 In Color Designer Washi Tape. Now I love washi tape and I have nearly all that Stampin’ Up! have come out with but I rarely use it!! It does look lovely on my tape holder but it would be better if I actually used it!! So I used some today. Only 4.5 metres left to go. hehe

I love using the marker technique on stamps so the Thank You stamp in this set is just perfect for that. And I think it looks rather stunning, if I say so myself!! To co-ordinate with the washi tape, I used Lost Lagoon, Taneglo Twist, Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey.

I couldn’t decide whether or not to use the smaller flower so I did a card with each. I think I prefer the one without but they both look nice. What’s your choice?

  1. Love the markering – looks awesome on your card! Love the burlap – fantastic textural detail, and I love the bright colours of the washi and markers too!! Cute card!! And I love how the design is ‘loosely’ based on the layout – I really love your clean and simple version!!

  2. Love your CAS CASE Bec! I do love this stamp too and the marker technique certainly shows off all its details. I agree with you too. It’s hard to choose but I’m voting for the card without the flower 🙂
