One of the best things that has happened since I became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, is the friendships that I have made. I’ve met lots of my crazy team members at convention over the years and when I met Miss Jess, we just clicked. Even though she lives in Melbourne, and I in Queensland, we chat regularly (ok, daily!!) on Facebook sharing ideas and projects that we have made.
Here we are at convention this year, with a couple of my other Stampin’ besties, Emma and Shannon from the Home Office. (Of course, Shannon is my bestie (lol!!)
My fabulous friend had a birthday this weekend just gone, so I had to make a special card for her.
I wanted to use the new Striped Scallop thinlit which I had just purchased as I am loving what I’ve seen on Pinterest made with it. But I didn’t case this time!!
So when I cut out the scallop, I found that I needed an extra piece of shim to go through the big shot as it didn’t quite cut it all the first time through. Could also be my cutting plates as they are starting to get a bit curved from lots of use!!. But I still could use what was left and decided to cut it half way. As Jess is a bit of a sparkly queen, I knew that I had to make a blingy card!! I embossed the sentiment from Flower Patch in gold embossing powder and added a bit of sequins to the flowers.
I hope she likes it!!
