I think this year has become my Stampin’ Up! Year of the Ornament!! I’ve been making lots of different ornaments this year.
At the recent Heartfelt event in Brisbane, one of the talented SU! staff members, Sophie, demonstrated a gorgeous ball that she had made. It didn’t look very hard to make,so I thought I would give it a go. I picked up a couple of polystyrene balls from Lincraft and I was ready to start!!
Using the miles of brown paper that I received in my Stampin’ Up! orders, I glued it around the ball and then rubbed the Whisper White ink pad over it.
I then used the gorgeous Snow Flurry Die from the current Holiday catalogue and cut out lots of flakes in Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold and Silver Glimmer paper. I stuck them together with a glue dot, added a large pearl and hot glued it to the ball. I used the Crumb Cake Scalloped Tulle ribbon to make the hanger and then spritzed it to death using shimmer paint and isocol.
Tell me what you think!! I also made a larger one using red glimmer paper.
