18 November 2012 – Heartfelt!

It’s been a while since I posted as I’ve been working lots and haven’t had the time to create something to blog about.

Yesterday was the Brisbane Heartfelt Stampin’ event put on by Stampin’ Up!.  It was for customers and demonstrators to get hands on with products and see new techniques and presentations.

I went with my mum, Sandra and my friend Margaret,  (who are part of my downline) and my amazing up-line, Tracy, who flew up from Melbourne to attend.  My up-up-line (or my grandma upline, as I like to call her), Simone, also came up from Melbourne.

There were so many fabulous projects to see!!  There were share boards where you could pin a project that you had made.  It seems that banners are in!  I’ll be making one soon, I think!

The presentations were great.  I loved Sophie’s presentations which was about decorations.  I took lots of photos of her displays on the boards so that I could make them at home.  She made the most amazing wreath which looked just beautiful!

I am buying a wreath base tomorrow so that I can get started on one!  It’s actually not hard to do, just cutting out lots of flowers from a couple of dies and layering them up and sticking them on.

There was also a product playground area where we got to play with the brayer, heat tools, the Big Shot, Wheels and a bit of stamping as well.  Each area had gorgeous samples to display their techniques.   I loved this candle decoration which was part of a table setting.  I’ll be making one or two of these as well.  So pretty!!

Now that I’m inspired, I need to start making some projects to share with you!!  Back to the crafting grind stone!!
