CTC152 – Painted Autumn and Spooky Nights

Can you believe that it’s the end of October! This year is flying past!!

We are casing the Painted Autumn/Spooky Night Section of the 2017 Holiday Catalogue, pages 48-55.  Halloween isn’t celebrated a lot in Australia although there seems to be more happening each year.  I’m not a fan, so I decided to case a project that used the Painted Autumn DSP.

Even though we are heading (very quickly!) into summer, I love the autumn theme of this dsp.  I am casing the centre card on page 51 of the catalogue.

I used the Painted Autumn DSP as the background.  I used the Oh So Eclectic stamp to create the floral scene.  I stamped the flowers in Early Espresso.  I made sure the ink was dry and then I coloured the flowers with the Daffodil Delight Stampin Blend pens.  I love the really crisp look of the pens.  I also stamped the larger flower in Daffodil Delight and outlined the seams with the darker Blend and then added some Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.

I used the large birthday sentiment from Happiest of Days but using the Early Espresso marker to only ink up the sentiment and not the greenery.  I then cut it out with one of the Stitched Shape Oval framelits.

To create the bow, I used the Copper trim and stretched it out to make it look a bit fuller.

Here’s a close up of the detail.

I really enjoyed making this card!  It’s nice to do something other than Christmas!

Next up is fellow cat lover, Peta.

Come and join us at our Facebook group and share your projects from the Painted Autumn/Spooky Night section, pages 48-55.

Happy Stamping
