This week at Case-ing the Catty, we are casing the Mother’s Day section of the Occasions catalogue.

You may have come from the fabulous Nikki’s blog or be starting here. I’ve decided to case the note book shown on page 36 of the AU/NZ catalogue.

But I didn’t want to do a notepad for my mum. I do need a gift box for her special present, so I used the notepad as my inspiration.

I made the box using the Gift Box punch board and stamped it with one of the flower images from the Mum’s Love stamp set. I love this punch board!! I then made a belly band and stamped it using the retiring in-colours, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and also So Saffron (which isn’t retiring!!). I added a couple of sequins for a bit of bling!!

To make the tag, I used the Party Pennants Bigz die and cut out a Gold Vellum banner and a whisper white one. I used the sentiment from the Mum’s Love stamp set and added a few flowers like the belly band.

I added the in-colour twine and a string of sequins. I also put a piece of washi tape across the bottom of the tag.

I hope you like my box!! and I hope Mum does too!!

Guess what I got Mum!!! Fits perfectly.
